Chapter 1- "Chloe..."

Paige's POV:

Mine and Chloe's friendship is unbreakable. Chloe is my like a sister to me. No. She is my sister. I cant even explain how lucky I am to have Chloe in my life. Without her would be the worst thing in life. Little did I think that was actually a possibility. On December 3rd my bestfriend Chloe Elizabeth Lukasiak was diagnosed with Leukemia.

*flashback*

I sat in the hospital waiting room silently crying. Tears glide down my face and I think of everything that could've happened to my best friend. The doctors come out of Chloe's room and I hop up. "You should go home sweetie. Chloe needs to rest and we have alot of tests we need to do on her." the doctor with the light brown hair and kind smile says. "Ok... but will I be able to come and visit her tomorrow?" I say worriedly. She nods and I walk off to Brooke's car.

*Timeskip to next day in the flashback at the Hospital*

I walk into Chloe's room with flowers and a teddy bear in my hands. "Chlo?" I say my voice shaky. She doesnt respond. I walk over to her. She has tears streaming down her face. "Chloe what's wrong? Please tell me Chlobird." I say, voice shaky again. "P-Paige... I h-have l-leuk-kemia."

*end of flashback*

I sit in class and try to hold back tears but they just come streaming out. I cry silently while I look down. "Chloe..." I whisper not realizing what I said. "Uhem. Miss. Hyland? Do you have anything to say?" My english teacher, Mrs. Lyons says. I slowly look up with tears still running down my face. I hear snickers from kids in the class. I just run out of the classroom and into the bathroom and slam the door shut. I puke over and over and cry so much my face is terribly blotchy afnd my eyes are puffy. The new girl from my english class comes in. "Hi im Mackenzie. Are you okay?" she says kindly. I look at her and silently cry now. "Chloe..." I manage to whisper. "Whos Chloe?" she asks kindly again. I manage to stop crying and speak. "Chloe is my bestfriend. No my sister. She was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago and she's not doing good. I can't loose her. I need her." I say quickly and get up to leave. I run out of the school and run all the way to the hospital. I stand by Chloe's doorway. She sees me and smiles. "Paige!" she squeaks. I run over and hug her. I start crying on her shoulder lightly. "Chloe... I can't loose you." I say and take her hand. "I know Paige. I will fight no matter what. I promise." she says and tears smoothly roll down her cheek. We spend what seems like hours talking and then I have to go. I know. I know that I won't let her go either.
