The air was crispy and cold, as soft snowflakes fell from the sky, and landed on the ground. From 8am until now, which was 6pm, it was snowing. the sky was becoming darker. The colors in the sky danced different colors: purple, pink, yellow, and orange. The mans dark chocolate eyes were shut, his hood falling off his head as the snowflakes landed in his dark brown hair. Combat boots crunching in the snow approaching the man could be heard, coming from behind him. They stopped when they reached to be right beside him.

"Its cold up here." Marius spoke as his eyes opened to reveal dark chocolate. Turning his head, he made eye contact with the other German man that now stood beside him. Milk chocolate eyes connected with his own dark chocolate ones. The German man that was standing beside him gave Marius a half assed smile.

Damn, that smile. that's what he thought; Marius

"Agreed." Dominic said as he didn't break his gaze from his friend. "What were you doing out here?" he questioned, his hands moving to shove in his pockets. Already, the cold started to kiss Dominic's cheeks, turning a tinted pink. Marius already had a rosy nose, and cherry cheeks. The mans lips were swollen and red from the cold, letting his tongue run along them to ring some saliva to coat them. The last thing the German man would want is for his lips to start cracking and eventually, bleed.

"Getting used to the... atmosphere. the cold. Baffin Bay" Marius concluded, swallowing hard as he seemed to not be able to break eye contact with his friend. that was until Dominic did a small 'heh', looked at the ground and gave that... smile. Marius believed something was wrong at this point. Dominic smiled twice already, and he just got outside. Marius looked away at the sky, as Dominic followed as well.

"Are you ready to fight off the terrorist inside of the yacht?" Dominic asked him, admiring the beauty of the sky. However it only reminded him of a painting, a watercolor painting to be exact. The same paintings his mother would paint for him, or when she would paint to forget. Dominic wishes he could be like that, do something that easy to forget. but he only resorted to drugs, However, now it has changed to just isolation and tears, but not in front of anyone. Swallowing hard from the thoughts that attempted to make their way in, Dominic broke his gaze with the sky to look at his friend again.

"I do not think so." He stated, his eyes trailing down to the snow, before up ate his friend." I think its a good experience for the both of us. That we could use something like this." This caused Marius to sigh, cupping his hands as he blew his hot breath into them, trying to warm them up. his fingertips were turning a rosy red from the cold air that settled onto his skin. Silence. It settled upon the two of them so quickly, that Marius felt like he was standing there forever.

"Mari," there was that nickname that Dominic called him. There it fucking was, to crush his soul and make his stomach turn and fill with butterflies. "I know something is wrong. you haven't been yourself lately. Not since the terrorist attack in Courchevel." Dominic stated sternly, turning his body so it faced him, hands out of his pockets now, shuttering from the sudden way the crispy air clasped around them so suddenly.

"There is nothing Dominic" Marius tried to avoid the topic and what happened on that night. My god it was a horrible night for him, and all Marius wished for that night was death. Death, Death, Death.

"Marius!"

"Dominic, enough."

"I will not ignor-"

"I just do not want to see you get shot again! Marius rubbed his face with his cold hands as he could not stand the thought of Dominic getting shot again. Silence fell over them, Marius' eyebrows furrowing downwards as his hands moved from his face. "you do not understand what I went through for that month while you were recovering in the hospital. Gilles kept telling me you were fine, but I could not accept that you would survive until I truly saw your eyes again. You would not understand."

With that, Marius turned to make his way back towards the back enterance of the base. he looked upset, not easily able to hide emotions.

"Mari," Dominic said as he turned to face Marius now who stopped. "I am sorry. I truly am." He concluded, stuck on what to say to his now upset friend. However, Marius continued on. All he could think about right now was his friends potential death. Kicking off his boots befor stepping into the home, he made his way upstairs and to Elias room. He didnt want to face Dominic. Luckily, Monika was most likely downstairs in the kitchen or by the fireplace.

All Marius needed was to talk to Elias. Mainly, he wanted to do this so he could get some of his emotions out. Elias was one of the only people he could talk to who was goofy when needed, but serious as well. sure he would talk to Gilles too at times, but for Marius, he preferred Elias because his advice is what he wanted, no, needed right now

However suddenly he remembered something

That smile...
