Chapter 3 - smoke and kapkan

"This is why we don't fall in love," Six began her talk, hands crossed and behind her lower back as she paced slowly back and forth. "This is why, I don't want anyone to start feeling love towards someone. Why I don't want relationships in this facility. I don't care if it's straight, lesbian, gay, or whatever you guys may fall in love with." A pause. The woman stopped, and rubbed in between her eyes.

"This is why!" Six yelled, pointing at the projector screen. It was a photo of Smoke and Kapkan in full gear. The next thing that appeared on the projector screen was footage of Kapkan running out of the back doors, and into the garage. In the footage, Maxim grabbed a car, and drove away, off into an unknown location.

"Six," Marius spoke, "I do not understand still, why we are here in
full gear." He stated, arms crossing
as Bandit sat, pressing the two clips
together to make sparks. Marius glared down at Bandit for starting to pull his attention, tapping him on the shoulder, intimidating him as nothing else followed those actions. Dominic rolled
his eyes, then brought his attention
back to Six. The woman cleared her
throat, glancing at Marius before
clicking next on the small controller
she had in her hand, skipping to the
next slide to show Barlette U.
"Smoke was doing a mission here with Montagne, Rook, Frost, and 1Q. The only problem, is that the  Terrorists captured
Smoke, while all four operators were
occupied taking them out. It was until
more than halfway through the mission
that Montagne - bravo Montagne
- figured out their teammate was
gone!" Six exclaimed, as she looked
from a fully geared, and sitting down
Montagne, to a standing Jäger with
crossed arms. However before Jäger
could make a stupid or a smart remark,
Six cut him off.
"We figured out their location, thanks
to Kapkan. When Kapkan realized
Smoke had not made it home, 1Q
realized that there was something
wrong. His expression went dull, and
he nodded at them before wishing them
all the best in finding him. Little did the
four know, that Kapkan actually snuck
out at 3AM on a love sick rampage to
find Smoke. The love Kapkan had for
Smoke drove him pretty much crazy.
to a point where he was willing to put
himself into danger, with no backup to
save Smoke. Now I don't know either
of their conditions. Jäger, Bandit,
Montagne, Fuze, and Thermite. I need
all of you to go to the location we will
provide you, find Kapkan and Smoke,
and bring them here safely."
Marius nodded at Six, before moving
away and towards the garage of cars
as he held all the needed documents in
his hands. Following him was Shuhrat,
Gilles, Dominic, and Jordan. Marius
hoped that nothing serious was going to
happen to them. Looking through the papers, he paused in the doorway
of the garage. He read some things
over, before checking the time. A sour
expression was on his face, except it
was none visible due to his gear.
"It is six AM." Marius stated.
"So what?" Shuhrat said in a stubborn
tone.
"Three hours ago he left. Arrived
probably in 30 to an hour at the
location." The German stated, looking
at the distance and all. "How long does
it take to complete a mission? Not long.
If the place is big, an hour max. Maxim
could be dead, or captured too." Marius
stated as he still didn't move from the
doorway of the garage. Dominic put a
hand on his friends shoulder, raising
his eyebrows as he looked at him.
"Marius. He is ok. He is not dead, Six
would know. We need to trust her. Let
us move on." Dominic stated in a dull
manner, giving his friends shoulder
a squeeze, before he walked into the
garage now, as Marius moved back.The rest of the squad followed Dominic,
as Dominic got in the drivers seat, and
everyone at the back. Shuhrat went
straight to fixing his Cluster charge,
whereas Jordan was checking his
Thermal charges. Gilles just placed
his extendable shield in the back,
already having checked it before being
called down for the lecture that Six
just gave them. Marius let out a small
sigh, getting into the front seat as he
closed the door and put his seatbelt on.
The German man continued to look
through the documents, already having
memorized where the locations are.
The car ride was long and boring,
giving Dominic every direction made
him wished he had driven. Dominic
wondered how Marius was still giving
him directions, even when he was still
placing his Active Defence Systems
down on the dashboard from boredom,
or occasionally on the window too.
The car eventually came to a stop after
an hour of long driving. The saving
mission didn't require Dominics or
Marius' equipment since they were
used in other ways, mainly during the
time they were defending. Marius
figured Six wanted them for their
speed, to balance out the two and one
speed operators.
"We know they are basement. Well,
James was." Marius stated as he placed
the documents down. Look around for
Maxim. Until then, we cannot step foot
where James is." Marius stated finally,
getting out of the car as he dropped
the documents to the floor of the car,
before grabbing his assault rifle and
P12 pistol. Placing the pistol in its
sheath, as well as the knife in the back
sheath, he ran to the stairs of the base;
Hereford base. If there was one thing
that Marius knew, it was that top to
bottom was the best strategy there was.
After all, why would Maxim start from
the bottom?

The mission was long, and dreadful.
Gilles found Maxim on the third floor of
the base bleeding to death. Jordan had
picked Maxim up and taken him back
up the stairs to the forth floor, placing
him down in a small and secure room.
Marius and Dominic stayed with Maxim in an attempt to
patch him up. The only problem was
that he was in such poor condition,
that they needed Gustave. In no time,
Gustave had made it to their location,
patching Maxim up, them shooting him
with his stim pistol. Maxim was soon up
and running on his feet, however not as
lively as he once was. The Russian man
refused to stay with Doc, and go back to
the base. Shuhrat's cluster charge was
heard from the fourth floor, as the third
snd second floor was easily done by
the trio. Maxim was aware, and pushed
past Gustave, Dominic, and Marius to
make his way downstairs.
The man reached where his gun was,
seeing the blood puddle. He picked
up his weapon, then went to where
Gilles was taking all the heat. Maxim
was opening fire to every and any
object he saw moving. Jordan followed,
as Gustave, Dominic, and Marius all
caught up with the squad that was
ahead. Since the room to their right was
barricaded and didn't contain James,
Shuhrat fuzed it, killing ever Terrorist inside. Dorminic sat on his
drone, as Marius killed the men that
were pushing the stairs, having a shot
whizz past his face, causing his heart
rate to quicken. This caused him to start
aiming higher for the headshots. When
James was located, Dominic gave the
callout, and in no time Shuhrat fuzed
a Jame-less room, as Maxim went past
Gilles and managed to take every single
enemy out, only to see a tied up James
with many things hooked up to him.
The Russian man ran over, tearing all
of the unwanted things attached to
his loved, pulling his mask off, along
with James' to see he was fine. His
cheeks were stained with tears, and
he looked as if he hadn't slept since his
last mission. Cutting his lover of the
rope, James and Maxim were reunited.
The other men stayed by the entrance
of the rooms, as Dominic, Marius,
and Jordan were holding off more
Terrorists. Exchanging a kiss with each
other, Maxim picked James up and ran
towards the stairs."We need to push from another way!"
Maxim yelled, as Gustave turned and
followed Maxim to an exit. Breaking
down the barricade, Gilles turned to
take the fire to his Extendable shield.
Shuhrat, Jordan, Dominic, and Marius
all exited the way Gustave, Maxim,
and James did. As they all got into the
vehicle, Gilles threw many flash bangs,
before running as fast as he could to
the car.
