"I didn't mean to show up unexpected." the blonde woman said as she waltzed into the living room.

anne stood awkwardly. she didn't know what to do. how should she adress this woman? as her mother? she probably wouldn't have accepted her.

"Mother, why are you here?" phillip said, almost coldly.

she took a breath and swallowed. "i'm here-" she paused and looked directly at anne. "i'm here for forgiveness."

phillip almost immediately softened, while anne got ever more stuff. although he would never tell anne, it bothered him very much that he couldn't spend time with his parents anymore. it wasn't his fault, only theirs but he desperately wished and hoped that they would be able to come to terms and accept it so they could be a part of their ever growing family.

phillip looked at anne. anne wasn't sure what she should say, she made eyes at phillip hoping that he would adress the woman in their house  for her. he didn't.

"of course." anne squeaked out. it wasn't that she wouldn't forgive phillips mother but this whole situation made me uncomfortable and on top of that she had a terrible case of morning sickness.

phillip jumped to action. "i'll get you set up in the guest room."

phillip was fine with his mother for such a long time, anne fell asleep waiting for him. she meant to tell him she was pregnant tonight but with his mother having arrived she wasn't sure she could anymore. she had just accepted her, would she accept their baby?

abbe rushes the bathroom that following morning. her morning sickness had flared up at such a roar.

"goodness," and voice said from the door. anne glances up and started into the eyes of phillips mother.

anne flushes with embarrassment. "i'm so sorry," she tried to stand but she couldn't manage the strength. phillip would probably sleep late since he was up for so long last night.

phillips mother dropped to her knees. "please let me take care of you."

anne was taken aback and her face clearly showed that.

"if you'll let me." she corrected. "i know it must have been hard for you and i'm so sorry for all the trouble i've caused you."

"thank you." was all anne could muster.

"for one mom to another." phillips mom judged her slyly.

she knew. how could she possible know?

"how did you guess?" anne asked.

phillips mother shrugged. "call it intuition. i'm guess you haven't told phillip yet? my son would've been more excited and taking care of you if he knew."

"so your not upset?" anne asked.

"of course not. in fact i'm just more grateful that i came. i don't know if phillip would accept me back if i hadn't been their for the birth of his child." she looked sorrowfully at the ground.

"please," she almost whispered. "please let me take care me take care of you."
