Chapter 24

M.J's P.O.V

After watching those two chasing each other they totally lost their breathes and Aggie forgive Chiko once she gave her a cupcake. And also water so she doesn't freak Chiko again.

I saw Kaila sitting by herself next to the barrel of fire while waiting for Dwena to come with the marshmallows, and so I thought I should join her because my Johnny is being held by Aggie.

I stood next to Kaila and asked, " Is this spot taken?"

She looked at me and smiled, "Oh no, you can sit down," she said.

So I sat down next to her. I looked at her and she looked away pulling her hair back. I thought she might say something so I waited but then I remembered the last time we met and it could be why she's not talking. Heh. Awkward. So, I broke the silence.

"So...about that other night--,"I said but

"Ooh..uh....can we not..umm...talk about it," Kaila said

"Oh. Alright," I said

Kaila smiled and said, "Thanks," and then looked at the fire.

I may be gay, but I know how cute girls can get. I mean, Kaila looks cute when she's shy and all. But I think I know what can break her shell.

"You know," I said, "I dated Dwena once," and once I said that I caught her attention.

"Seriously?" Kaila asked looking straight at me.

"It's true," I said facing to Kaila, "It was back when I was a sophomore. I was the new kid, but I easily made some friends because ,well, I was the hot shot. Even the senior girls want to go out with me."

"Well you do look kind a hot," Kaila said, "Well..I-I mean...well, there's no use of hiding I already announced it before."

I chuckled, "It's ok," I said, "Other girls asked me out, but I always turned them down. I couldn't date a girl because my heart only belongs to Johnny." I looked at Johnny and held my chest, "Johnny, he was the first to be my friend," I said clenching on my shirt, "He made me feel more than a friend. That's when I knew I was....gay."

I look at Kaila and she said, "Keep going. Also how did you end up dating Dwena?"

I sighed, "Since I was ashamed of me being gay. People started talking about why couldn't a hot guy like me date a girl. So I think, if I could date a girl, nobody could suspect me that I'm gay," I said 

"Oh. So you dated Dwena so you can cover the fact that your gay," Kaila said

I nodded, "Yeah. But then the funny thing is, we only dated for 2 weeks," I said.

"What? Why? What happen?" Kaila asked

"Well, since I dated her, Chiko and Aggie were quite suspicious," I said, "And not long enough they figured it out."

"What? No. But how?" Kaila asked

"Heh. They said something about---," I explained but

"his ways and body language," Chiko said holding the marshmallows, and Dwena was with her.

"But how exactly?" Kaila asked

"Well, first when I kissed him---," Dwena said

"You guys kissed?" Kaila pointed at us. And me and Dwena nodded.

"Anyway," Dwena said, "He rather just kiss, not french kiss. And when I ask him what movie we should watch, he picked the Vampire Diaries. And when we talk about other movies, he only mention the male characters."
