Hello wattfam ! Thanks so much for choosing to read my book ! This story is part of the Wattpad Paid Stories program. It's such an honour that I was chosen for this program. As an author, I put hours into the content that I provide and to have the chance to earn an income for those hours, is incredible!

You would have seen that my updates are regular and I've published a number of works over the course of about nine months. I've treated Wattpad as if it were a full time job. I've prioritised it and listened to all of your wants and requests as well as getting to know you guys. The recognition for all of this hard work is heart warming. So when you arrive at the paywall, you may choose to support me in order to read on. If not, I have a number of other books that will remain free.

Ahhh. It's so exciting ! Now, because it is being published, I'd like to answer some questions that you might have about it being in both programs.

My publication date is 13th of August. There will be differences in the physical book that are not on wattpad. So I'm putting this statement in here to let you as the readers decide whether to continue reading and supporting the wattpad version or waiting for a physical copy. It's all very exciting and here are some questions and answers.

"Why should I pay for your story here if it's going to be a published book?"
Everyone wants to read differently! Some prefer to read online, some prefer to flip through a hard copy. Either way, I believe writers deserve to be supported for their work. The published copy won't be here for a while, so in the meantime I'm excited that I still get to bring my story to an audience.

Although the published version will of course be a bit different, this version of The QB Bad Boy and Me is a version I've spent time editing and perfecting as much as I can, and I'm still immensely proud of.

"You're essentially asking readers to pay for this twice!"
There are likely two different audiences for The QB Bad Boy and Me: Wattpad Paid Stories (users who want to read TQBBBAM on Wattpad) and Wattpad Books (people who want to own the published copy, as well as non-Wattpad readers!)

It's not about paying for this twice, but rather I want to be able to reach both of these different audiences, and I think writers deserve to be supported along the way. Wattpadders have always been the first to support my work. I am grateful for readers who support me through Supported Stories/Wattpad Books, and make it possible for me to dedicate more time to writing

"Am I paying for a lower quality version of your story?"
Although the published version will of course be a bit different, this version of TQBBBAM is a version I've spent time editing and perfecting as much as I can, and I'm still immensely proud of.

Think of it like a Director's Cut. The story doesn't really change, you just get a closer look at what the process was like.

Wattpad has been life changing for the better. I've met some fantastic people. The support that I've received from the readers has been so encouraging. I do believe that I have the best readers on this app. The kindness and backing that comes from the readers is just so motivating. I wouldn't be where I am without all of you. Knowing that most of you love Drayton Lahey so much is like a dream come true. Creating a memorable, loveable character has been something that I've always worked towards.

It means a lot to me that Wattpad is recognising their writers as real authors and want to reward their efforts and time. Props to the staff that want to look out for their community.
