Julie POV~
I woke up eight this morning so that I could be up before anybody else in the house wakes up. I jumped in the shower got dressed them went downstairs to make breakfast for my family. Today is the day I plan on telling my parents about Chris and Im gonah do it over a nice hot breakfast.
I don't think my parents will be too upset with me because I do love him and plan on having a future with him.
After I finished making breakfast which consisted of cheese eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes and juice I started setting the table. Once I finished setting the table my parents and brother walked into the kitchen. "What smells so good? " Justin asked as he walked in the kitchen rubbing his stomach. Justin lives in his own apartment downtown but came home to visit when he heard I was coming in town.
"I cooked breakfast JJ duhh, lets eat before the food gets cold" I smiled as everyone started eating their food. I didnt want to jump to the topic of Chris too fast so I waited untill everyone was finished eating and starting talking.
"So mom and Dad" I started talking but stopped because I was getting nervous to the point where I started swinging my legs under the tanble. Once I found the courage to speak again I started back up. "I have an annoumcement" I said and everyone got quiet. "I knew it was something making break-" before Justin could finish his sentence I kicked him under the table then smiled at him. "I have a boyfriend named Chris weve been going out for 5 years, we live together and we plan on getting married soo. and hes white" .
When I finished talking all eyes were on me. I just sat there smiling awkwardly waiting for somebody to say something. After waitung what felt like forever my father spoke "thats good baby, I want to meet this soon" he said while gwtting up from the table "ok hell be here tomorrow" wuth being said I went upstairs pulled up my laptop and booked Chris a flight to come tomorrow at seven. Once I got the confirmation number I sent Christian a text.
