Leo's POV
He was walking the perimeter when one of the knights called out for him. He ran as fast as he could and stopped when he saw the scene in front of him. At first he thought it was a creature but instantly realized it was a person. The cloak was pulled over their head and around their shoulders. He still saw all the blood and cuts covering their body.
The person tried to move forward but because they were too weak began to fall. He ran forward and caught them realizing they were in fact a woman. He could tell she was very beautiful even with the mud and blood caked all over her face. She reached up and touched his cheek.
He suddenly felt the need to protect and comfort her so he said "don't worry, I've got you now. You're safe." He meant every word. She then passed out in his arms. He looked her over and saw the many cuts on her small body and the sword in her had. He had no idea who this women was or what she was doing but right now she needed his help.
"Men!" Leo called bring the men closer, "keep a sharp eye out. I know dawn is breaking but this woman has been attacked very recently so there must be creatures nearby. Aidas and Zeke go search the surrounding areas. Keep the perimeter fully up until I say so. I will be in the infirmary. Get to work!" The men quickly scattered.
Leo hoisted the woman more fully into his arms and started running toward the army infirmary. Once he arrived he shouted out for the doctor. An assistant instructed him to lay the girl on one of the tables. The doctor came quickly and began undressing her immediately to take care of her wounds. Leo turned and left the room to give them privacy. Deciding there was not much more he could do there he went back to the wall.
The men had done exactly as he instructed. Aida's and Zeke found nothing but her sword at the edge of the forest. They couldn't tell where she came from or where the attack took place. He told them they did a good job then dismissed them back to they're post. He told the rest of the knights to stay sharp and keep they're post until further notice.
He grabbed the woman's sword and saw it was one from the kingdoms army. It was an older version but had the army crest on the pommel. 'Where would she get this?'
He made his way back to the castle to inform the other commanders of what happened.
-----------------
It had been four days since the incident at the wall and the woman still hasn't woken up. Leo and the other commanders agreed to keep a full perimeter night and day. Everyone including the king wanted to speak with the woman that survived a major attack. He informed them all that she is in no shape to be questioned even if she does wake up soon. Once she wakes up Leo isn't sure how long he can hold them off.
He walked the perimeter almost every day. But when he wasn't at the wall he was next to the mysterious woman's bedside. He felt the need to protect her and take care of her. He wanted to be there when she woke up.
He just finished patrolling and decided to check on her again before washing up and grabbing some food. The infirmary was quiet as he made his way to her bed. There had been almost no attacks since she came in. He wondered if she had anything to do with that.
He stood there for a few minutes looking at her beautiful face. He knew she was pretty even with all that mud and blood covering her face but now that she was all cleaned up he realized she was gorgeous. Her small nose sat in the middle of her heart shaped face surrounded by long curly brown hair. Her lips were full and perfect for kissing. He remembers her crystal blue eyes completing the look in his mind. She was breathtaking.
He didn't normally react this strongly to most woman but there was something about this one. He reached over and moved a small piece of hair away from her face. As he did this her eyes began to flutter open.
