Jefferson was a code name for our house. i felt my heart sink. maybe they were out or something. after trying several times i just gave up, dad didnt answer phone calls he doesnt know anyway.

"talk", a sassy voice answered and i knew it was nadia. started laughing and crying from hearing just her voice. "whos this", she repitively said, " ok man if you dont talk im hanging up". nadia its me, its me. i excitedly shouted. the line just seemed to go silent for a few seconds." please never call me again". the line then went dead.
wait what just happened? i tried again several times but she seemed to always ignore. i have to get out of here and find out whats going on and fast.
