Tales of Nova Terra - The Twins (wip)

The Theory

     Lynk and Lynn both ready to go, along with the ore being ready in the cart agree to start making their way to Whiteburrow, where their home lies. Lynk grabs the handle of the steering mechanism of the cart and starts pulling it, though it is an extremely heavy load the way the cart is made makes it very easy to pull heavy loads as long as the ground is decently flat, Lynn tags along on the side of Lynk and they walk along and talk about various different things along the way, they find out that they both aren't that different at all, in fact they both basically like the same exact things and they both do the same exact things in the same places at the same times... Which is strange to them as again they have never seen each other before in their lives and they are both 17, they figured that at first the ore brought one or the other from the future or something of that sort, but they both lived in the year 1308, so that could not have been possible. They both concluded that the ore was definitely the culprit of this strange situation, and that due to touching that they had gained some weird powers or something of that sort but they didn't know if it was permanent or if it would only last a bit. The first time it happened was when they hit the rock, then they were in this 'Void' as they would like to call it for now, and the second time was when they were about to be killed, it triggered something that caused their birthmarks to glow the same way it did in the 'Void', which would seem to happen when the powers are active and can be used, but they didn't fully know just yet and couldn't prove it so they didn't fully believe it just yet, and threw it down as a theory of sorts. 

     After about an hour of walking they finally made it to the outskirts of the town. Lynk and Lynn were not too happy with what they were seeing though, the town was completely desserted and looked as though it was attacked and destroyed... Like a war had happened, there were only really overgrown ruins of houses, factories and pubs left over. Where were they, they wondered and what happened to Whiteburrow... And most importantly they knew that they weren't in the same year that they had left to the mines in... They made their way through the city checking places they knew and loved back when they were there and hoping they would find someone, but no-one seemed to be there at all. It was a ghost town, after a while of walking they finally made their way to their blacksmith shop that their parents had owned, it was a big cobblestone building located near the industrial district of the town, it was partially underground with stairs leading to the door of it and looked overrun by vines and flowers, there were two chutes on the side for dropping ores into to load them into the smelter, along with coal as well to fuel it, a huge chimney was on the top of the building and was coated in ash and soot and there was a board in the front of the building that people would leave orders they wanted on for them to take and fulfill. Most of the papers on the board were destroyed but a few remained, it was overcrowded with orders and Lynk and Lynn were not as great as their parents were at getting orders done in time because they had to harvest the ore themselves unlike their parents who had people working to get them ore every day. Lynk and Lynn stopped in front of the shop and left the cart out there and looked at the board and noticed one strange thing...

     A few pieces of paper on the board had read "MISSING! Lynk Wyland the Blacksmith of Whiteburrow has gone missing after one day of heading down into the old mines, if you know anything of his wearabouts please find the chief and report them to him!" And the most recent one was dated "1/18/1310" and had read "Lynk Wyland declared dead after being missing for more than 3 years..." Lynk  then looked at Lynn with a concerned expression and said "I'm... I'm dead?..." Lynn then replied "Well your obviously not, but why am I not on there? This is my house Also you know!" she sighed then remembered something and quickly yelled "WAIT! DO YOU REMEMBER HEARING ANYTHING ABOUT PARALLEL UNIVERSES BEFORE?" Lynk replied with "Well yeah, but those were mainly theories from what I can remember, Why?" Lynn quickly replied "Hear me out, maybe, just maybe it wasn't made up at all, and that we are both from different universes!" Lynk then quickly replied with "WAIT, THAT WOULD TOTALLY MAKE SENSE ON WHY WE ARE SO IDENTICAL THEN,  YOUR BASICALLY A COPY OF ME AS I AM OF YOU! But your a girl though?" Lynn then says "That means the only thing different with my universes is that I am a girl rather than a guy?" Lynk then said "Yeah and that would make sense and fit along with the theories of Parallel Universes! As one can be a copy but have only slight differences, that means that this is my Universe and you somehow entered it!" Lynn replies "But if this is yours then how do I get back to mine and we still don't know what happened to the city", Lynk then says "I think it's a little apparent now, if our theory is correct then we are probably in my Universe but far into the future..."
