soo look I have been into this musical for awhile and now im doing a oneshot about it, things I will change (spoiler alert) characters, instead of being an outsider narrating the story matthew is narrating, the end is much more depressing, nate is younger and there's an extra scene ;) lmao ok enjoy!

It was a fresh spring morning flowers dressing the grass all over the town I made my way to the school's front door and trough the dangerous halls.

I went straight to my locker and grabbed my books for the first period even though its pretty early but hey! I couldn't allow myself to be late Im a honor roll student, that would be innaceptable. I figured I would sit on the floor until the bell rang, while I was doing so I saw a boy I didn't recognize I couldn't catch a glimpse of him cause he was walking very fast into the principal's office.

I just shrugged it off and looked for my phone on my pocket.

"Shit, shit SHIT!!" I covered my mouth when I realized that came out louder than I intended everybody turned to look at me I just stared at floor In embarrassment, I had left my phone In the bus GOD now I had to wait for the whole day to get it I mean if I even get it I don't trust that driver at all, a loud groan escaped my mouth as I leaned back into my locker, this was going to be a great day.

-RIIIIIIIIIIIING- I heard the first period bell go off so I took my books and made my way to my biology class.

When I walked in I sat at my usual spot next to mark and in front of Steph, I took my pencil and started writing down the date when..

The door opened

After saying his name the teacher assigned him a seat, right next to steph.

"Psst"-she seems to not have heard-"PSSSST"-she turned around frowning-"what?"-"yo steph, Can we change?"-"why?"-she lifted an eyebrow and drew a smirk on her face-"helloooo? Cutie alert next to you!"-i said shaking my hands as I talked-"wow Matt, he doesn't have a lot inside here and you fell already?"-"neither did james inside of you just change already!"-.

She narrowed her eyes at me then took a glance at the teacher and turned around again-"fine"-.

We changed as fast as a lightning and as soon as I sat on the new seat i looked over at my side to be greeted with an unfamiliar face looking over at his notebook eyes half-open and his chin resting on the back of his hand while his body weight shifted to the side while he looked vaguely to the small notebook.
"Hi" I muttered loud enough so he could hear me, he turned his head to my way eyes gazing around my figure, by this moment he had let his hand drop into the little table and sat straight up-"Hi?"- he said raising an eyebrow-"I'm Matthew nice to meet you!"- I held my hand out for him, I watched as he quickly hesitated but shook my hand anyways-"Nate"-"Cute name"- I said smirking as he pulled his hand back and narrowed his eyes slightly-"it's one of the only ones I have" with that he looked back in his notebook to never raise his gaze again, 'god did I mess up?!' I asked myself pulling my hand back as well and starting to write down but couldn't help bit smile as I thought 'what the heck I gotta do to be with you?'

*Time skip to lunch*

I walked through the halls as I made my way to the cafeteria and sat down at the squad's table.
