Blaires POV-
I am falling, through black space. I don't know where I'm going, but all I know is that its down somewhere. Kind of like Alice down the rabbit hole. My head is burning and I don't know why. I thought I was dead? Why was I still feeling pain if I was falling? Death was supposed to stop all that. I wasn't meant to feel pain after I died.
-
Amidst my thoughts, I hit the ground hard. I see a red room building up around my eyes and think I am hallucinating. I had never been on drugs in my life, but I guessed this is what it felt like. "Ah, I see you decided to join us?" a deep voice calls from overhead. "Over here please." It says, and a man walks out of the shadows. He doesn't look that much older than me, maybe in his late twenties? Before I know what I'm doing, my feet are walking over there robotically, like they have been trained to do so. I end up standing with ten or fifteen more other people, all of which look older than me. "Hello, I suppose you know you are all dead? If not, then, surprise..." It booms. I smirk, despite the situation.
-
"My name is Anubis. If you know your mythology, you will know that I am the Egyptian god of the dead...." It rumbles and I zone out, instead taking a look at who I was here with. There is an old lady in the corner with long, wavy hair and wind-beaten skin. She doesn't look the slightest bit happy about being dead, and her eyes have a certain fire in them. There is a middle aged man who looks weary, and torn down. He was obviously a father and also had a hard job, the circles under the eyes told me that much. There is a girl in the very corner who I didn't notice before, she has wild auburn hair and pale skin. I get lost in myself looking at her and forget to listen. The only things I get are something about initiation? And gifts. Hopefully the present kind of gifts and not a weird talent.
-
The girl with wild hair looks up at me and I quickly divert my eyes to the floor. Even though I can't see her, I know that she is staring at me, I look up and her eyes widen, she blushes and looks down. Everyone starts dispersing out of the room, through the, wall? I furrow my eyebrows, confused. My feet start moving, against my will and pull me over to the wall, and I go through it. When I can see again I find my vision blurred, but I am still walking. When my feet eventually stop moving, I find myself in a fairly bland room. It has a bed, a desk, a wardrobe and a big window. The window looks like it is artificial and has a very fake light. There is a picture perfect countryside scene painted on, I know this because when I was alive my mother was an artist. I can tell pain when I see it.
-
There is a small plain envelope on my desk, addressed to men I open it and see a note in cursive writing, much neater than anything I could write.

Blaire,
I noticed you didn't oau much attention when I was explaining what was going on, so in this letter I will explain. Basically, you are dead. Hades and I each own a underworld, my one Egyptian, and his being Greek. We have gathered you all here to hold an initiation, that will decide what underworld you are best suited to, and to work on your gift. Not a present, but a gift. These can range from being able to see the date of every death of every loved one you had on earth to being able to manipulate people, which comes in very handy, may I add. This gift should come to you within the next 24 hours, and if it doesn't, just call and we will help. Also, if you don't like the room, there is a panel on the inside of your wardrobe which lets you change it to your liking. Just type in what you want and it will appear. I do hope you have a good sleep, as initiation begins tomorrow morning at 10.00.
Anubis.

I read the note, rip it up and throw it in the paper bin. This day wasn't meant to happen. I wasn't meant to feel anything after I died. That's the whole point I died. To not feel anything. I can feel a lump rising in my throat, and I swallow hard. Even to myself, I can't cry. I fall into the bed, and unable to stop myself, I begin crying. The tears wont stop flowing, and soon my breathing turns into heavy, ragged sobs. Eventually, I stop crying and fall asleep, still in my blood stained clothes I died in.
