"ugh!" jennie angrily screamed as she threw papers of lyrics onto the ground. it seemed that no matter how hard she focused she couldn't create the song she so desperately wanted.

irene, jennie's best friend and solo singer, watched as her friend went crazy. "jennie," irene called out calmly.

jennie ignored her.

"jennie!" irene called out more harshly. "why don't you go outside and take a break? you've been trying to come up with lyrics for hours now and some fresh air may do you some good."

jennie reluctantly stood up from her studio desk and put on her expensive gucci leather jacket, "okay i'll go out. sorry about the mess."

irene shrugged, "it's fine. i'll clean it up. just go clear your head and when you come back i'll have food ordered and we can work on the song together."

"thanks irene. i really appreciate it."

said girl smiled at her friend. "i'm your best friend and that's what friends are for. now shoo and go get some fresh air."

jennie smiled and walked outside. it was 10:00 pm and very chilly. since it was late, no one was really outside aside from the teenagers and young adults. 'oh how i wish to be free again," jennie grumbled to herself.

don't get her wrong, jennie loved her job as a songwriter and producer. she loved watching and listening to artists singing the songs she had created; but most times she was just stressed - like today. jennie had to produce a song for a well known kpop group who will have a comeback in less than a month.

jennie's parents never shared her passion with music. they told jennie 'be a doctor or a lawyer! making songs will get you nowhere in life!'

but she did. jennie can say she finally made it. after selling her first song at 18 and getting a huge sum of money, jennie moved out of her parents place and into one of her own. she's never regretted it since.

her parents were still disappointed in her despite of the success jennie had made for herself. they never said it out loud, but jennie knew that when her parents friends would brag about how their son was a 'successful lawyer who has never lost a case' or when their daughter 'saved the life of another' they wished jennie would have as well.

but jennie was happy and healthy and was doing something that she loved. and all at the age of 23.

"hey gorgeous! you mind going home with me?" a man suddenly asked as he approached jennie. his friends in the background snickered to themselves. "i can show you a good time."

jennie gave the man a disgusted look. "as if. how old are you anyway? 60? why don't you go back home and jerk off to your dogs getting it on."

the smirk the guy was giving jennie instantly vanished, "you bitch! do you know who you're talking to?"

"someone whose old enough to be my grandfather."

the man clenched his fists together, "you young kids! weren't you taught any manners at all?"

"of course i was. you clearly haven't though. in fact, what makes you think that you could ever please someone like me?" jennie scanned the old man, "you're old as shit. your dick is probably all shriveled up and wrinkly. disgusting!"

jennie turned her back towards him. "but another factor could be that you don't have a dick. listen, i really don't have time to be dealing with old men so why don't you move along hm?"

as jennie was waiting for the pedestrian light, she didn't notice the old man come closer to her. he grabbed ahold of jennie's hand, forcing her to turn towards him. "you better apologize girl!"

"or what?" jennie spat.

the last thing jennie remembers was the honking of cars and the flashing of lights before succumbing to the darkness.
