My parents were yelling at each other again. Something about a baby, but I didn't know what exactly.
"I told you I wanted to keep it, " my dad had said in a growl through his clenched teeth.
"And I told you that I don't want it, " my mom bit back equally as angry and equally as loud except her voice became a bit like a screech when she yelled, "It's hard enough taking care of one kid with the little income we have. Having another baby will just make things worse and put us in a tighter spot." My mom continued calming down a bit.
My dad stood up from his spot on the couch and ran a shaky hand over his face before he turned to my mother with his blue eyes darkened by anger and he said, "Then I'll get another job... and maybe we'll sell this house and move into a smaller one..."
"No. No, absolutely not. We got this house with a good deal if we sell it we'll be giving that away." my mother said while shaking her head frantically. My dad turned to my mother this time with a grieved look in his eyes. When he finally faced my mother he wouldn't look her in the eyes when he said, "Then you leave me choice Beth. Either you keep that baby or I leave first thing in the morning."
The look on my mother's face was heartbreaking even from the stairs I could tell her eyes had become glossy and her lip was trembling.
"Don't make me do this. Please... don't make me have to choose, Joeseph," her voice broke at her last words and she looked the most vulnerable I had seen her. My mother was a strong, funny caring person who never cracked under pressure. To see her like this brought tears to my own eyes and before I knew it traitorous sob escaped passed my lips gaining the attention of both my parents. When they saw me kneeling there with my arms wrapped around my self-watching through the railings of our stairs they immediately ran toward me.
"Jessie, baby, I'm so sorry for yelling I promise it won't happen again," my mother cooed caressing my short strawberry blonde locks. Before picking me up and taking me to my room.
"Liz please I'll take her to bed you shouldn't be holding heavy things," my dad entreated.
My mother closed my ears with her delicate hands trying to keep out the words she was about to say although it didn't do any good since I heard it either way. "Got to hell Joeseph." She waited a few moments before she continued, "Really, just pack up your things and leave I never want to see or hear from you again." And with that, my mother turned and entered my room leaving my stunned father on the last step of the stairs.

Alright so I know it's a fairly short chapter but I wrote mainly as filler chapter so that you guys could understand why the dad left. And believe there are many, many more plot twists to come. ; P
Now if you have any questions that you'd like me to clarify a few things I will. Although, I have a tendency to forget things and considering the fact that the last time I wrote a chapter for this book was two months ago. Just a heads up that I might be a little rusty. Anyways, hope you lovelies enjoyed this chapter I'll be writing the next one soon and hopefully have it up for you guys by Monday, but no promises.
