Firstly, this is a one-shot for the wonderful book Sweet as a Strawberry by im_fluent_in_sarcasm. If you haven't read it, I seriously suggest that you do, not just because it's, well, fabulous, but also because this may not make much sense if you have not read it beforehand.
Secondly, and this is important, Lottie's mum calls her "Charlie" at the start because it is Ben that comes up with the name, not her. So I didn't think it would make sense for her mum to call her Lottie, at least until she'd heard someone (i.e. Ben) call her that. Just to clear that up!
Finally, if this story is similar to anyone else's (and they didn't copy this) then I am sorry, it was not intentional, I came up with this on my own and before I started reading other people's. I did not copy anyone. Okay?
