Kiss?

 2:45 pm, Sunday, Yoyogi Park

Like last time, both of them arrived at the same time, although this time they are early, not late.

"Looks like we're early now." said Taki, smiling.

"Couldn't wait to see me huh?"Mitsuha replied.

"Same goes for you."

"Onee-san! Jeez, don't leave me behind!" whined Yotsuha, who was a few meters behind Mitsuha.

"Ah you must be Yotsuha. I'm Taki Tachibana. Nice to meet you." Taki greeted.

"So you're the guy Mitsuha has been telling me so much about. Can't say she has a bad choice in looks."

"Oh thanks."

"Hmm..."

"She's thinking of ways to test you to see if you deserve to be my boyfriend or not." Mitsuha explained.

"Is that so?"

Yotsuha started to say, "Say, Tachibana-san,- 

"Call me Taki." interrupted Taki.

"Okay, Taki-san, what do you like about Onee-san?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, what made you want Onee-san as your girlfriend?"

"Oh okay. I guess anyone would say 'She's very kind.' and things like that but, the truth is... well... I don't know. I guess I don't really have a reason. I don't need a reason to love Mitsuha."

Hearing those words coming from Taki's mouth made Mitsuha want to hug him right there but Yotsuha still had to say something.

"Hmm... alright, you pass. But I still have a few more questions." said Yotsuha.

"Shoot." replied Taki.

"What's your favourite band?"

"RADWIMPS."

"I'm starting to see why you guys really like each other. Alright, last question. Did you guys kiss?"

""Huh?!"" said both Taki and Mitsuha in unison, both of them very red.

"N-No. At least not yet." Taki answered.

"Well done! Now since you have my permission, I'll make sure that kiss happens today."

""WHAT?!"" both of them were even redder now.

"Cm'on. I can't play matchmaker if you lovebirds just stand there all day."

Taki was the first to unfreeze.

"Yeah we should move. This place won't stay open forever."

"Yeah you're right." said Mitsuha, now also unfrozen.

"Well then move faster!" Yotsuha grabbed their hands and pulled them along.

They went on like this until Yotsuha stopped at an ice-cream stall.

"Which flavors do you want?" said Yotsuha, bringing out her wallet.

"Chocolate." said Mitsuha.

"Same here." said Taki.

"Alright then."

A couple of minutes later, Yotsuha comes back with cups of one scoop of vanilla ice-cream in one hand and two scoops of chocolate ice-cream in the other. She hands the chocolate ice-cream to them.

"These are for you."

"Seriously?" Mitsuha complained.

"No complaints! My money, my rules. Be happy that I'm giving you two spoons."

"You can eat all of it." Taki said to Mitsuha

"No! You guys have to share." said Yotsuha.

They even ended up feeding each other. They were enjoying their stroll through the park when they found a breathtaking view over a lake. The yellow trees in the October autumn made it look even better. At that moment, Yotsuha thought up something.

"Hey, uh I need to go to the washroom. Wait for me here." she said, running off. As you can see it wasn't a very original plan. She ran around and hid behind some trees. She didn't want to miss what would happen.

"It's so beautiful." Mitsuha said.

"I know right?" replied Taki.

"Ah I like this."

"What?"

"You know, us, like this, spending time together."

"Yeah, me too."

"Also, you do realize Yotsuha doesn't need to actually go do you?"

"Yeah I figured."

"She has to come back at some point."

"I don't think she will. Not unless we, you know, do it." Taki's face became slightly red as he said this.

"Do it? What do you- oh." Mitsuha also joined Taki in blushing after realizing what he meant.

"S-So umm will w-we do it now? N-Not that we h-have to!"

"I-I don't mind. So sh-shall we do it?"

"O-Okay t-then."

Both of them started to close the distance between them. When the gap between them closed they found themselves pecking each others cheek. They were too nervous to even keep their eyes open. Yotsuha became so angry at their fail, she came running out of her hiding spot.

"AW C'MON! AFTER ALL THAT YOU GUYS DIDN'T EVEN KISS PROPERLY!"

""Y-Yotsuha?!"" They knew she didn't really have to go to the washroom but they didn't expect her to be hiding so close by.

"Can't you guys even kiss properly? Ah whatever at least you two tried."

"Y-Yotsuha h-how long were you h-here?" Mitsuha said.

"From the beginning."

"I should've expected that..."

"I'm feeling bored. Cm'on you guys."

The rest of the day was comparatively uneventful. Yotsuha couldn't find good places to set them up. Although she did force them to keep holding hands for the entire day until it was time to leave. Their first official kiss would have to wait for another time.

"I wanted you to meet my school friends, Tessie and Saya-chan are getting married soon." Mitsuha said, about to enter the train station she needs to go to. Yotsuha left earlier on a different train to go to where she lives with her grandma.

"Really? That's great! When can we meet then?" Taki replied.

"Not tomorrow. I have a lot of work that day. I'll tell you later."

"Alright. See ya."

"Bye"
