Chapter 8

After work, i went to Le Mary Céleste bar beside my condominium. I havent pick up any calls from anyone since this morning. Neymar's words yesterday really did affect me.

"... said a girl who've been cheated more than once by her long time boyfriend and never even been proposed."

I've been dating Eden for almost 10 years and i ever dreamt that someday i will walk through the aisle marrying him. He's been so busy with his football career and i don't want him to get distracted.

"You've drink too much for tonight." said the bartender

"Just give me one more shot"

I can't handle every seconds that i don't spend with Eden anymore, i'm gonna order a flight ticket to London tomorrow and decide.

This night, Chelsea had a game against Wolverhampton and i think Neymar and Kylian had already finished their match. I have to go home right now to watch Eden's match.

I stood up from my sit and my visions are blurry, maybe its the Vodka effect. I walk out slowly from the bar and i heard some guys are whistling.

"Hey beautiful"

"Stay the fuck away or i'll call the police!" I reach my car keys from my bag but that shit is missing somehow.

"Oh, you are Juliette Pique! The Paris socialite."

"Don't go anywhere near me or i really i gonna call the police!" I shrieked

"Hey leave her alone!" I heard a man shouted, i think i could recognize his voice. "Let me help you to get your keys."

He took my bag and found my car keys, he offered me to drive since i'm not sober enough. Lucky that he just have to drive me for about a few feet away.

He walked back to the bar after he took me home and i let my fragile body laid on my bed. I think i'm too dizzy to watch football from tv.

The morning i wake up, i call my boss that i can't come to work for today and she gave me a tons of paperwork to work at home. I will catch an afternoon flight so i pack my clothes and prepared a long speech that i will say to Eden.

I heard a knock from the front door, when i opened it, there is Bianca standing with some cupcakes in her hands. She run to my kitchen to place the cupcakes and then hug me really tight.

"I regret for not being there, i want to see that happen in live" I pouted.

"I really wish you could be there too," She pinched my nose. "By the way, why are you packing?"

"I'm going to London today."

"Why you didn't tell me? For how long?"

"Only a night. I want to end it with Eden"

She shook in disbelief.

"Why? is it because of Neymar's words? I know about the fights that you have with him and Mesut said that he found you drunk last night."

"Oh it was him, tell him i say thank you."

"Hey, dont change the topic!" She glared.

"I just realize by now that my love for him isnt the same anymore and maybe Neymar was right, i was too naive."

"Whatever you choose, i hope you're happy with your decision Juli." She hugged me.

We ate our cupcakes together and i never saw Bianca this happy before. I'm happy to see her like this, somehow she could makes all of my problems go away.

Bianca stay and she's willing to take me to the airport, the flight only took an hour and when i arrived, i jumped into the taxi and go to Eden's house.

I input the security number of his house and i met his maid inside, the one that have been accused as Eden's affair.

"Hi! I'm Juliette." I introduced myself before she start to freak out that i have an access to Eden's house.

"Eden is not here, he's on his training right now." Whoa, she seems close to him.

"I know, i'll wait for him."

"Do you need anything?"

"No, i'm fine."

I left my suitcase in the living room and went to Eden's bedroom. The last time i went to his room was 5 months ago, there are a lot of pictures of us together.

I found a picture of us at the middle school, back when i use sneakers all the time. He even have the tickets of our first movie date, well i threatened him if he lose them tho.

We have a lot of history together and it makes me really hard to end our relationship. He's my first kiss, my first love, and the person who took my virginity away. I used to believe him until he broke it.

I accidentally slept on his bed and when i woke, Eden will be home in 15 minutes. I went out from his bedroom and wait for him until he arrived, i want this to be fast and no fights included.

I saw his car from the outside and minutes later he entered the house and surprised by my appearance.

"Baby! God you really surprised me!" He kissed my lips, up to my forehead.

"Hey, how's your training?"

"Good, we won yesterday and the coach gave us a treat." He explained.

"Okay," I shrugged. "Actually, i came all the way here to talk about something."

"What is it? It doesnt sounds good."

Fuck, i lost all the words that i've arrange neatly in my head. I look at his eyes and i can't hold my tears.

"Hey, why are you crying?" He wiped my tears and cuped my face.

"I... i can't do this anymore." I dont have any nerve to look at his eyes.

"Hey, what happened? Is it because of the news?" His voice broke.

"No, its just... its not the same anymore." I bite my bottom lips. "For all these time, being with you is my greatest blessing. You're my first real love and i can't imagine the day i stop loving you."

"Then why? Why you cant do this anymore?" His tears just fell down from his eyes.

"Because i'm worried... i worried every seconds i dont spend with you will be the times that you spent with another girl. I really can't love you the same way as i did Eden because you've broke my trust.

I love you and i always will, but we can't pretend to act like both of us are fighting for our relationship when neither of us is."

"Juliette please..."

"I'm sorry Eden," I hold his hands, caressed it softly. "I'm sorry that i gave up on us."

I kissed his lips for the very last time and took my suitcase. Actually i have no idea where to stay, but of course i can't stay here with Eden.

"Please stay."

"I can't"

"Please..." He begged. "Please sleep beside me for the last time."

I smiled and nodded, he help me to bring my suitcase to his room and he didnt speak anything. I took a quick shower and went to the bed.
