Ashley's POV

I woke up at 11 am because every morning i need to help my mom with house work. Normally she would let me sleep till I want but ever since dad died i have to help. My name is Ashley by the way and yeah I'm an emo. Most people don't like emos because they look diffirent. Colored hair, dark eyeliners, mostly wearing black clothes yet sometimes we tend to wear colored clothes aswell. That's not the only reason they hate us. They hate us because of the music we listen to and the fact that some cut or have suicidal thoughts while on the other hand they hate the constant depression we feel. Yeah it sucks the fact that we most of the times get rejected by other people who aren't emo. When I woke up I brushed my hair and did my makeup before heading down. Aside from me and my mom I have a little sister called Alex. She always knows how to make me smile no matter what happens. Our house is quit modest. We don't really need anything thats fancy because our dad knew to teach that modesty is the real treasure that we should be happy with what we have. Everytime I think of those words I realise how much I miss him. As I head downstairs the whole room was filled with a amazing smell. The one that made your saliva flow from your mouth.
Ashley: Morning mom.
Mom: Morning sweet heart. Are you hungry?
Ashley: Yeah.
Mom: Here you go*she puts a plate of eggs and bacon on the table*
Ashley:*sits and eats*
Mom: Is your sister awake?
Alex: Morning mom*running dowstaris*
Ashley: Now she is.
Alex: What's for breakfast?
Mom: Eggs and bacon.
Alex: Yay!*jumping happily*
Ashley:*gigles*
Mom: Ashley after you're finished come with me. We are heading to the mall.
Alex: Can I come?
Mom: Sure.
Alex: Yay!
Ashley: What do we need to buy?
Mom: Some groceries and if you two are up for it that we go to the cafe.
Ashley: Sounds like a plan.
Mom: Alright now you two eat up. I need to get ready.
Ashley and Alex: Ok.
Mom:*heads to her room*
Alex: Hey Ashley I got a question.
Ashley: What is it?
Alex: When are you gonna get a boyfriend?
Ashley:*blushes* O-oh well not soon.
Alex: Huh.
Ashley: Look Alex I don't want to just be with some random guy who only wants me for my looks. I want a guy that will love for who I am.
Alex: I see.
Mom:*walks to them* You two ready.
Alex: Yes!
Ashley: Hey mom can I-
Mom: No Ashley you can't listen to emo music in the car.
Ashley: Well it was worth a try.
After we drove ourselves to the mall and bought some groceries we entered a cafe and ordered ourselves drinks and slices of cake.
Alex: This cake is delicious.
Ashley: Yeah it really is.
Mom: I'm glad you like it.
TV: We are breaking this show for important news.
Mom: Huh?
Reporter: At 7 pm European time the Serbian president was assassinated during a speech to the nation while bringing up new laws.
Ashley: W-What?
Reporter: Some people said it was an act of terorism while others claim that a Croatian citizen was behind the assassination.
Mom:*hand shakes a bit*
Alex: Mom are you ok?
Reporter:  We will bring you more information later.
Ashley: M-Mom what's going on?
Mom: You girls pray to god it wasn't a Croatian.
Alex: But why?
Mom: A long time ago when you two weren't even borned a war escalated in a country called Yugoslavia.
Ashley: Yugoslavia?
Mom: It was a federation  formed out of 6 countries: Slovenia, Serbian, Montenegro, Macedonia Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. When the Croatians, Slovenias and Bosnians wanted to depart from the federation the Yugoslavian army along side Serbian guerilla troops waged war againts the so called opposing threat.
Alex: W-War.
Mom: The war in Slovenia lasted barely 10 days while Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian were defending their countries for 5 years.
Ashley: Oh my god.
Mom: There were a lot of casulties not only on soldiers who were defending their lands but on civilians too.
Alex:*gulps*
Mom: That's not all the Serbian army established 2 years during the war did so many sick things that were even worse than during WW2.
Ashley: L-Like?
Mom: The iconic city of those sick crimes was Vukovar.
Alex: Vukovar?
Mom: After the Croatian brigade who was defending the city was defeated after 3 months the Serbian army captured all the civilians including woundeds, pregnant women, kids and elders and were ordered to do massive executions and burried them in the fields.
Alex:*shaking*
Ashley: That's horrible.
Mom: I hope it wasn't a Croatian because if it was I'm afraid Croatian will experience another bloodbath much bigger than before.
