Ella's P.O.V

It had been a week ever since I played that fun football match. I had blended quite fine with my new environment and new position- the Luna to the Crimson Moonlight Pack. I also had learned that this pack actually was one of the largest pack in the world. I felt incredibly amazed and overwhelmed trying to figure out just how did Jem manage to earn the trust and respect of hundreds- no, maybe even thousands- of his pack members.

I walked around town, just inside our territory, with Jem and the others. Jem strictly pointed out to me that we weren't allowed to tresspass other territories without permission for we'd be branded as rouges- a vile, non-law abiding, recalcitrant beasts- right then and there and who knows what fate rouges end up with in different packs.

As far as Jem told me- after I specifically told him to stop lying to me- he dealt with rouges kind of different to other packs. After he captures them, he sends them to the dungeon for interrogation. He tries to keep it in his mind that even though they've gone rouge, they were still werewolves and they feel too. He finds it very unfair and inhumane to not hear them out and just kill them right on the spot.

My, I'd say I felt my heart swell with pride that time knowing I was really lucky to have Jem as my forever partner. He was definitely kind- contrary to his cool and placid demeanor and his perfect, strong and intimidating built- soft and sweet.

"Say Jem.. how did you know I was the one?" I asked all of a sudden when we separated with the others to go look at different bookshelves.

We had somehow ended up in a bookstore- with our idle chatting and nonsense jokes- and decided to buy one. I, for one, needed to really look into old books and try to figure out the secrets behind my self. As to what I really am? What I am capable of? How far can I go? and What could be my bane?

"Well, I didn't exactly know at first. I just somehow believed that you COULD be the one. You see, I've always longed to meet my mate and I didn't expect I'd meet you at the worst time of my life. I also did not know how exactly could I point out my mate. I just knew that I wanted to be by your side. Always." He said with a sweet and adorable loopsided smile that made him drop-dead gorgeous.

"Hmm.. Is that so?" I mused to myself and kept on scanning the spines of the dusty yet fragrant old books piled on the shelf.

Yes, it'd look like I was focused with the books, right? But believe me my heart was still thumping wildly against my ribs as my mind kept replaying his words. I never knew falling in love would be this blissful. Now I wondered why I never tried to let anyone in my world years ago.

I paused when I happened on this book that doesn't have anything written on its spine. It somehow got me curious and I pulled it out. Even the cover didn't have anything written on it.

"Jem! Look." I called and showed him the nameless book.

"A book without a name?" he asked- probably curious too- as he tried to get it from me.

"Oww." he flinched his hands away and looked sternly at the book- suddenly on full alert- and tried one more time.

"Why does it hurt and so heavy? How can you even lift it with ease?" He asked after he tried for the fifth time of trying to take the book from me.

"I don't know. It doesn't really feel that heavy. In any case, it's surprisingly very light. Are you okay though? Is it still hurting?" I asked him and held his hands, checking them for possible injuries.

"I'll be fine. I heal easily." he said with a gentle smile before he planted a kiss on my forehead. "Thanks for worrying though."

"Of course I'll worry." I pouted and touched the marks left when he tried to take the book and got burnt instead.
