Those who failed to live up to the standards for Valhalla are sentenced to wander forever through the misty, frozen wastes, with no memory of who they were. Every now and then, however, a person will end up falling in while they still live. Not for lack of trying, mind you. Recognising the portals don't seem to work on him, he draws nearer to the shores of Gjöll, unaware of just what fate holds for him. I never had a name, I never had much of anything growing up. Just that one Aesir. Maybe I was lucky being Aesir rather than being mortal, but being Aesir had it's downfalls. I was a servant of Odin, I was a puppet before I knew it. I had no choice. I had no choice.

Sigyn is one of my favourite Norse goddesses but we don't know much about her past so I made some up for her. ^^

Eu fui escolhida para narrar a vocês a Saga Valkyrja, mais precisamente o conto Lua de Sangue. A história se passa em Midgard, região onde ficam denominados por direito todos os reinos Humanos, mais precisamente em Stonefortress, uma cidade vizinha da grande capital Mannheim. Antigamente os Aesir e os Vanir vigiavam os reinos de Yggdrasil, garantido que nenhum deles tentasse invadir um ao outro mantendo o equilíbrio no mundo, mas os Gigantes de Gelo nunca viram dessa forma e iniciaram uma guerra contra Midgard, uma guerra que até hoje não teve fim, mas que não é o nosso foco principal por agora. Há exatamente doze anos um grande mal caiu sobre Yggdrasil, era o início do tão temido Ragnarok, naquela noite em que a lua se tornou vermelha e liberou milhares de criaturas sombrias para aniquilar toda vida em Yggdrasil. No fim nós vencemos o Ragnarok, mas a vitória veio com o gosto mais amargo de todos, pois todos os Aesir e Vanir se sacrificaram para nos proteger. Todas as raças entraram em luto e se resguardaram em seus reinos e nunca mais foram vistas ou sequer abriram suas fronteiras, com exceção dos Jotuns, nome dado aos Gigantes de Gelo e de Terra, com nossas forças enfraquecidas e sem a ajuda dos Aesir o nordeste de Midgard caiu e até hoje é cenário de batalhas e de derramamento de sangue.
