The way the gods operate is broken. Apprentice gods are forced to give up their friends, families, and sometimes even more, in order to complete their training. Whats worse, Melody seems to be one of the only people that realize how unfair it is. But as an apprentice to a minor goddess, there is little she can do to fix things. However, after an old friend nearly ends the world by causing a war of the gods, Melody quickly realizes that she is partially to blame. She unknowingly helped him plan his attack.
