The sound more than the impact of the pillow stirred me in my sleep. I groaned and opened my eyes a little to see my brother Diego by my bedroom door holding a pillow and grinning. Damm his morning personality. I am the only person in my family who isn't a morning person and I don't plan on changing that.

Though I marvel on how they pull it off, I am totally convinced that it was pure torture. You could wake them all and they would greet you with kisses. Me? Not so much. More like greet you with thunder and curses.

"Rise and shine, lil'sis" he chirped loudly knowing fully well his bubbly attitude would annoy the hell out of me.

"Leave me be" I groaned and took the pillow he threw at me to sleep on but Diego had other plans for my poor pillow. He grabbed the ends with the intention of using it to hit me. I grabbed the other end simply refusing to be the victim of his hit.

I had almost forgot that Diego had been a quarterback during his high school days and wasn't lacking the strength I seriously was. In one swift pull, he successfully managed to pull the pillow. But the pillow wasn't the only thing he had managed to pull.

Along with the pillow, he had pulled me from my comfortable bed to the not-so comfortable floor.

I landed with a grunt and turned to face my annoying grinning brother. He was going to pay. He shook his head in disapproval as he took one look at me.

I huffed as I knew what he why he gave me that look. My jet black hair was what would give you the vivid description of a bird's nest. Heck! I would put Anna's bed hair to shame and I was pretty sure that the right side of my cheek was painted in drool.

I reluctantly stood up and snatched the pillow from a grinning Diego. Why did he seriously have to be so happy? I dropped the pillow on my bed and chased him out of the room.

"De nadas" I heard him call as he chuckled.

I growled in response which only encouraged his chuckle. With a sign, I turned back to my bed. I eyed the spot I had been on before I was unceremoniously disturbed. No matter the locks I put on my door, he just seemed to have every key for them.

I groaned and plopped on my bed. Seems like I'm not getting any more sleep. Sleeping right now would be like trying to catch a wild goose and I was still tired.

I got up to tidy my bed and shut the window curtains. I wasn't fond of the morning sun's glaring effects as my room was facing the part where the sun rose from.

Although I am sure I closed the curtains before I slept last night, unless.......Diego! I growled and sighed. I needed positive vibes to get through today and I wasn't going to let my overbearing annoying brother smack it out of me. I tried to brush my hair but it was so hard. It was naturally soft but by bed hair was like trying to tame the wild beast.

Thankfully, I managed to brush it and tie it in a ponytail. I finished my business in the bathroom and went to the closet afterwards to pick a cloth. Not really being the girly girl type with an elder brother like Diego, I didn't have much dresses much to Mama's worry.

My closet was filled with tops and jeans and two or three dresses I had gotten to make Mama happy. Other than that, my trusty jeans and tops never failed me.

I decided to wear a black top with the quote 'badass chick' at the front, faded blue jeans, and my red Nike sneakers. Yup! The top was definitely right. I am one hell of a kind badass chick. As I tying my shoe lace, I heard my Mama shout from downstairs.

"Timelia! Hurry up! Diego is going to eat up all the tortillas and bread if you don't" she said, the Spanish accent not hidden in it.

Yup! I'm from Spain, though not sure which part of Spain I am from. Family moved to America when papa had received a job offer to become the CEO of a branch of the tourism company he works for in America. It was his dream job with a good pay and perfect opportunity according to Mama.
