I woke up with a groan as I stretched my uncomfortable limbs. I was very tired with yesterday's wandering. I could have sworn to have kissed the ground near our camp when Piper and Grace led me there.

Unfortunately, I could not show my appreciation as the moment the rest of the student saw me, different questions were thrown at me.

"Where were you?"

What happened?"

"Did you die?"

The last question happened to be asked by Victoria, one of Lacy's minions. Too tired to reply to her question, I just gave her a stink eye but Grace had other plans as she answered suspiciously cheerfully.

"Damn, we wanted it to be a surprise but you're right. We found her dead body on the ground but then decided to bring her back to life. I mean, if Jesus could do it, why can't we?"

With nothing to say, Victoria simply huffed and walked away.

"Annoying dumb bimbos" Grace grumbled under her breath. I and Piper burst into laughter at her annoyance.

"Please go on. Laugh on the expense of my misery" she said with a soft playful smile on her face.

"Timelia, how did you manage to get lost. I expect you to be responsible enough to take care of yourself " I heard Mrs Martins say thus cutting short our laughter.

I turned to see her angry but somewhat concerned face marching towards me. Sarah was by her side, her face clearly showing worry and concern for me. I gave her a small smile that calmed her a little.

"Mrs Martins" I started "Someone switched my map while I was distracted, misleading me to another direction which got me lost" I stated. We were surrounded by murmuring teenagers as they discussed not so secretly what I had said. Mrs Martins's eyebrows furrowed in thought as she digested what I told her. She nodded and let me go.

"Okay, everyone move. We are leaving very early tomorrow so I suggest you start sleeping now!" Mrs Martins shouted at the dispersing teenagers.

I was about to follow suit when a hand on mine stopped me. I looked back to see Sarah.

"It was that spoilt bitch, wasn't it?" She asked.

I shrugged and she guessed the answer by herself.

"That brat!" She fumed "You could have been killed back there. Are you alright?"

I made a show of examining myself before giving her a soft smile and answering.

"Seems like I am. I mean I am alive, right"

When I saw her worried face still intact, I sighed and assured her that I was fine. I was urshed to my tent by Mrs Martins only to find that Piper and Grace were already long gone. I sighed and adjusted myself so I could sleep comfortably.

The last thought that filled my head as I slept was the mysterious golden eyed creature that saved me.

Back to present time, we left Greene county reserve very early so the bus was filled with groaning and sleepy teenagers as they struggled for comfort in the three hours long trip back home. I had it worse as early mornings are like leprosy to me. I detest them. I am pretty sure that before I could be gotten out of bed, my friends had gotten a generous amount of scratches on their faces. It's not my fault. They should have known.

I almost cried in relive when I realized that it was Saturday. I didn't even greet my family when I was dropped in front of my house. I just went straight to bed making sure I looked my door and closed my curtains.
