(Harry’s P.O.V.)
Erin was getting released from the hospital today and I promised I’d be the one to bring her home. “Harry, you don’t have to – ”
“I want to. So get in the car and don’t complain,” I said. She stuck her tongue out at me and got into the passenger side. I started driving and she turned on the radio. “So, what are you doing next week?” I asked. She looked at me weird.
“Nothing really. Why?”
“Because we’re going to London,” I answered. She sighed.
“So I’ll just stay here and do some scenes without you – ”
“No, no. You’re coming too,” I told her. She raised her eyebrows. “And don’t try to get out of it. I’m taking you to the Syco Ball as my date, since you are my girlfriend according to the rest of the world,” I said. Her face fell. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that.
“Oh.”
“But that’s not the only reason I’m taking you. I want you to be my date,” I explained. She nodded looking unconvinced. “And that girl Shelby that Louis’s always talking about will be there too so you’ll get to meet her. And you can meet Danielle, Perrie, and Casey.”
“I know who Danielle and Perrie are, but who’s Casey?” she asked.
“That’s Niall’s soon-to-be-girlfriend. He’s a bit shy,” I told her, smiling at the thought of Niall and Casey.
“Aw, little Nialler needs to grow a pair,” Erin cooed. I laughed and nodded.
“Precisely. But it’s not always the easiest thing in the world to tell a girl you love her,” I mumbled. I wondered if she was catching on. I doubt it.
“Well, I wouldn’t know. I’ve never had to tell a girl I love her,” she said superiorly. I laughed and kept my eyes on the road.
“Well take it from me, it’s some scary shit,” I told her. She didn’t answer to this. “Anyway, you’re going to need to buy a dress.”
“I don’t want to.”
“What kind of girl doesn’t want to buy a dress?” I asked. She groaned.
“A lazy one. Can’t I have someone buy the dress for me?”
“Wow, fame has not gone to your head,” I said sarcastically. She smacked me on the arm jokingly.
“I’m just tired! I don’t want to go shopping!”
“Fine, I won’t make you shop today. Maybe tomorrow,” I said with a smirk. She sighed and leaned back in her chair and shut her eyes. “Tired, love?”
“You have no idea. Is Louis still here? I want to talk to him,” she mumbled. I raised my eyebrows.
“Yes. He leaves tomorrow. What do you want to talk to Louis about?” I asked suspiciously. What was Louis doing to me? Were they talking about me? Did she like him? Did he like her?
“He needs my advice on Shelby,” she answered. I felt a wave of relief. Then I realized I had just had a miniature panic attack inside of my head thinking that the girl I love was dating my best friend, and that would never happen.
Did I just say girl I love?
Oh no.
(Erin’s P.O.V.)
When I got home the boys all tackled me in the biggest hug I’d ever experienced. “I just got out of the hospital, please don’t suffocate me,” I choked. They let me go and beamed at me.
