Hermione told us what happened in class. You know, after we left. So, we discussed the Snape incident at dinner. Getting angrier by the minute.
"It was just such damn bullshit!" Ron exclaimed. Cheeks red out of anger.
"I know!" I began mimicking Snape's voice, "Oh I'm Snape and I hate Gryffindor, and Harry because I'm just a huge jerk who seriously needs to take a shower!"
I and Ron laughed. While Hermione was silent.
"Oh! Lemme me try!" Ron started mimicking, "I've been trying to be the D.A.D.A (Defense Against the Dark Arts) teacher since I probably started working at Hogwarts!"
"Boys." Hermione quietly whispered. Though neither of us bothered to listen. We were having too much fun with this.
"Yeah!" I added on, "but I suck too much at teaching that I'm stuck with Potions. Also, I always wear this long black robe that never gets washed!"
"Boys." She tried a little louder. was fiercely cut off. But, she was still ignored.
"Also!" Ron laughed, "I hate Harry, Ron, and Hermione simply because they're not in my house!"
"-Boys!" Hermione loudly interrupted. Annoyed that she was ignored, "just drop it. It's over with."
"But!-" Ron tried to complain.
"-No buts!" She yelled at him.
Something about Hermione seemed off. Like she was worrying. Mione never got angry like that. Unless something was bothering her. Both Ron and I shut up. Scared to speak because we didn't want to upset her. Whatever was bothering her, it seemed important.
"Sorry guys," She apologized, "it's just that," Mione looked around. Making sure nobody else was listening, "we're getting a new student."
'What...?' Out of everyone, Hermione usually would've been the most pumped for a newbie.
"What!? We are?" Ron dared to ask.
"Yes! Now keep your voice down," She scolded.
"What's wrong with getting a new student?" I cut in. Curiosity forced me to do many things. This being one of the safer things.
We both waited in anticipation. Terrified yet intrigued.
"What do you mean 'what's wrong with getting a new student'?" Mione raised her voice a little. "How is there not something wrong with that!?"
Now that was even weirder. "What happened?" I tried to keep my voice calm. Not wanting to hurt her feelings. Though, I wasn't sure how that could happen.
"It's just..." She took a slow and long breath, "... What if they're smarter than me?"
'Oh my god!' I honestly loved her reasoning. It was such a Hermione thing to get worried about.
"Bloody hell Mione." Ron sighed "I thought it was something worth actually being worried about!"
"What?-" Ron accidentally cut Her off
"-Seriously! Mione, you're the smartest girl in the world," Hermione started to blush, "why would you of all people be worried about that? Nobody and I mean nobody could ever outsmart you! You're Hermione bloody Granger!"
Ron was exposing his crush far to noticeably. It was extremely obvious that they liked each other. I'm sure even Malfoy knew.
"Thanks, Ron." Blushed Hermione.
