Loving you was easy, once upon a time.
The only sound that could be heard throughout Demi's airy apartment was limbs tangling in her silky sheets and the sound of two lips connecting and disconnecting as the passion in the room ignited, causing their bodies to break out in a thin layer of sweat as they entangled themselves even more than they already were, becoming one as a series of moans broke through the silence. Demi fisted the sheets in her hand and tried to keep her eyes open but they rolled to the back of her head as Wilmer placed a dizzying kiss on her lips and continued his love making. Demi's arms found their way around his neck and she brought him in for another kiss as she felt the coil in her stomach tighten, harshly biting down on his lip as he wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in the crook of her neck.
"Oh," she moaned, as she felt him tense up and release inside of her. His pace slowed down a bit and he collapsed on her body, but was still careful not to put all of his weight on her small frame. And they just sat there and held each other, Demi's fingertips grazing over the small hairs on the back of Wilmer's neck, causing him to break out in a series of shivers.
"Are you sure you're gonna be able to get a week off to come to Hawaii with me?" Demi questioned as Wilmer rolled off of her, tugging her back into his embrace and wrapping the silk sheets around them as Demi's breathing finally evened out.
"The real question is are you sure you're gonna be able to take a week off? I don't wanna distract you from your tour preparations," Wilmer counter questioned as Demi chewed down on her swollen bottom lip.
"My schedule is already clear. I just pushed everything back a week," she stopped talking to consider what to say next before a wide grin broke out on her face.
"Are you excited to go to Hawaii with me?" Demi's cheeks flushed, already knowing the answer to her question. He answered her by connecting their lips but keeping his tongue inside of his mouth. He massaged his lips against hers, showing her and silently telling her that he loved her, and he was all hers, and yes he was excited to spend an entire week full of love, sex, and magic with the woman who meant everything to him.
But now my suspicions of you are multiplied. And it's all because you lied.
Demi rested her head against the window of the airplane, glad that she had gotten first class and it was practically empty. Although she did kind of wish there were other people in the first class cabin with her and Wilmer because she hadn't felt comfortable being alone with him in weeks. She saw him pull out his iPhone and she craned her neck to the side a bit, trying to get a glimpse of who he was texting although she had a pretty good guess of who it was.
She pulled her knees into her chest and rested her head on top of her knees, curling herself up into a tiny ball of misery and depression. This was supposed to be a happy trip and all she wanted to do was bolt out of the airplane and go back to Dallas's house. But the tickets were non refundable and he had begged her for them to still go. He wanted to prove to her that he was still all in and he still loved her but he was doing a crappy job at it.
"Here. You didn't bring this when you left our house and went to Dallas's. I know it's your favorite and you can't sleep without it," he handed her a pillow but not just any pillow it was the pillow. The pillow with the photocopied handwritten letter from him that she had stopped sleeping on approximately three weeks ago which meant not sleeping at all. She didn't care. She could go without sleep. She had been writing song after song after song, turning her tears into lyrics and her sadness into melodies on her piano.
"Thanks," her voice was barely there because of her lack of communication with anyone and that one night a few days ago when she had climbed onto Dallas's roof and screamed at the top of her lungs because of how angry she was at everything.
There was a seat in between them so Demi placed the pillow there because she just didn't want it anymore. Those sweet heartfelt words were nothing but sweet little lies now, lies that she didn't want to fall for again. Why was she going on this trip again?
Because you're dumb and you still love him, she grabbed her Beats out of her purse because she didn't want to hear those little voices anymore. She just wanted a peaceful plane ride where she wouldn't have to deal with those voices or Wilmer for this entire plane ride.
"I know things between us aren't right at the moment, but we both agreed to still go on this trip because-"
"Because the tickets were non refundable and I didn't want to lose my money. That's it. Nothing more and nothing less," Demi spat before Wilmer's phone beeped in his lap.
"Oh look, your little whore just texted you. You gonna get that or should I?" Demi raised an eyebrow as she plugged her Beats into her phone and placed them over her head. She smiled at the appalled look on Wilmer's face, surprised at how bold she was being, for once, and she shot him a condescending wink before looking out of the plane window as they were lifted off of the ground. Here goes nothing.
