Ed's POV
I made it out of the desert, now I just need to find them and get my revenge. I walked back to the cave in the woods and passed out from the humidity and dehydration. I've been thinking of ways to stop them in their tracks. To find where they would be, when I got an idea.. If I call the cops with an anonymous tip about where they are- whenever I find them, they'll be after them and stop them. When they're there in the center.. I'll take my shot.

Elizabeth's POV
Kellin and I have been hopping around cheap motels just to find a place to sleep and other than that, we've been on the road. Our destination will be Mexico. That's probably very cliched but I think we'll have a chance there. Nothing has really been going on. We drive until he gets tired and we'll find a place to stop. Apparently he has a pretty big savings for this. He's been planning escape for awhile now, but even I know what he has might not be enough, and we're going to have to have a back up plan.
___
Kellin's POV
Man she's so beautiful. I swear whenever she smiles I almost go completely off the road. I need to get her somewhere safe, somewhere she can start over. If she doesn't want me in her life, it'll hurt like hell but if it's what she wants I'll do it. I can tell we're starting to low on money so recently whenever we get something to eat I only get food for her, she can't suffer anymore in any way.

Elizabeth's POV
I was half asleep, my elbow resting on the door and my head in my hands when we came to a complete stop in the middle of the road.
"Elizabeth.. Get out!"
"What? What's happening?" I instantly became alert with the panic in his voice.
" I'm going to speed out of here and when I come around that corner you're going to jump into that ditch right there and make sure nobody sees you."
My eyes went wide at the thought of him leaving me.
"What about you?!"
"When I lose them, I'll come find you. Go to the nearest hotel and wait for me. If I'm not back in 3 days... Don't come find me, just stick with our plan okay?"
He handed me all of the money we had left.
"Wait, you need money for yourself so you can come back to me."
He took 2 tens and that was it. His eyes began to water and he turned away which made me realize how much I was already crying. He wasn't planning on coming back...
"Okay, are you ready?" He asked as he wiped his tears with the back of his hand. I slowly nodded my head. He leaned towards me, our noses brushed and then came the butterflies. His top lip grazed mine, and then the bottom. Then we were kissing, goodbye.
We came to the curb, I glanced at him and he nodded his head. I opened the door and swung out then watched the back of his truck get followed by sirens.
___
I walked and walked until I came to a hotel. I paid and stayed there day and night worrying, and thinking and crying. It's been 2 and a half days since he left me and I don't ever want to leave here. I was always planning on him coming back but if he doesn't, do I have the heart to leave? Him forever? I'm not sure. I've been doing a lot of thinking in these basic 4 walls. The ceiling became my bestfriend, the pillows became my shoulder to cry on. I was alone and I will now always be alone.
