Bitter sweet memories

She hasn't seen him in years but she knew she would see him again.
I'm telling you Nick I'm surprised you haven't checked this place out on one of your trips over here.
I've checked over your notes and I've spoken to Aaron and Zak...
There it was just the mention of his name made Lucy's stomach flip. Nick was Lucy's big brother and Zak is best friend. Lucy and Zak had a thing for each other when they where all in college together.
Nick and Zak along with their friend Aaron had their own show ghost hunting around some of the most haunted locations in the US. Lucy Majored in Media and her studies brought her over to the UK. Funnily enough she was part of a simalar show there, however hers didn't last long she had the network pull the plug on it because the hosts faked incidents.
Lucy Nick and Zak wouldn't dream about doing anything like that due to an experience they all had when they where younger.

Nick was driving home that night the rain was relentless.
Hey Bro! Lucy answered her phone.
Hey listen I'm going to be late home this traffic is awful but I will swing by and pick up a pizza if you guys want.
Lucy looked over at Zak his head buried in a magazine and mouthed the word pizza, Zak gave her the thumbs up.
That sounds great just take your time and please drive carefully.
Lucy sighed as she put the phone down.
He will be fine Lucy he's a big boy. Zak said.
I know I know. Lucy said as a rumble of thunder rattled over the house.
Lucy looked over at Zak and realised there could be worse people to be stuck with during a storm. Truth be told she always had the hots for him but she always thought she was out of his league and the fact that he's Nicks best friend put her off slightly.
Zak wasn't really reading he was deep in thought.
Why has she got to be my best friends sister? It just makes things awkward.
Not to mention she's way to hot for me she probably won't think of me that way.
Zak? Zak? Zak was snapped out of it by Lucy.
Would you mind running some lines with me?
Sure thing. Said Zak
Lucy also did a drama course as part of her time in college, Zak took one look of the script and saw his chance.
So when where you going to tell me you are leaving?
Lucy was taken aback by the passion in his voice she just figured he was helping more by acting rather than just saying the words.
I...I wasn't.
I don't understand we have only just found each other.
I was trying to make it easy for us both. If you love me you will let me go.
Lucy began to panic a little as Zak had actually moved closer to her she could feel his breath on her neck.
That's the problem I love you too much to let you go...
I need you...Lucy felt his hands on her waist as he turned her around he pushed her up against the wall. The tension between them was at breaking point.
I want you... Zak said his voice all husky.
He pulled her close and kissed her. He was even more surprised when she didn't pull away.
Zak I've wanted you for so long.
We should of said something to each other before this. Lucy I've been falling for you for years.
Well I don't want to waste any more time. Lucy said catching her breath as she kissed him again.
Zak carried her to his room and closed the door behind them.

Woken by the sound of a car alarm constantly going off Lucy shot bolt upright in Zak's bed which in turn woke Zak.
Then both of them got the shock of their lives when in the doorway stood Nick.
Zak immediately started to try and explain why he was in bed with his sister, when both of them noticed Nick was almost see through and seemed to be floating.
Lucy felt an awful feeling come over her.
Nick! She said.
Help Me! Nick shouted before fading away.
With that both of them ran outside toward the sound of the car. Sure enough Nick had flipped his car the road was so greasy.
Oh my God! Zak!
I got him call 911.
Zak raced towards the car and pulled Nick from the wreck while Lucy was frantically screaming details down the phone.
He's got a pulse but its week hurry!

It was two weeks before Nick woke up all 3 of them swore to pursue what had happend that night.
One thing I don't get. Said Nick.
Why where you in Zak's room?
Lucy and Zak looked at each other.
The storm was freaking me out I needed company. Lucy replied.
Not long after that Lucy left for the UK.
Present day
... And they are up for it we will be on the next flight out. Said Nick.
Cool it will be great to see you! Oh and Nick have you had chance to speak to Zak about the other thing we have spoke about. Asked Lucy
Not yet but it's Zak it shouldn't be a problem.
