Whats wrong with Zak?

It was October 25th 5 days before the live lockdown and 6 before Lucy's official birthday. She woke that morning with butterflies in her stomach she couldn't wait to be on the lockdown and for the clock to hit midnight bringing in Halloween and her birthday it was going to be awesome.

Or was it? She thought to herself.

Laying in bed with Gracie firmly wedged between her and Zak. Gracie had missed them and had not left them alone since they picked her up from Zak's Moms when they got back.

She looked over at Zak sleeping soundly. That night at Bobby Mackey's she was only trying to protect him but she ended up risking her life.

But isn't that what you do for the people you love. Lucy thought again upsetting herself.

Zak hadn't been his usual self since they got back she could tell he was still pissed with her for doing what she did. She understood but couldn't stand the atmosphere between them.

She sighed and got up.

After she was showered and dressed she whispered to Gracie for her to follow.

She decided she needed some air so she took her for a walk leaving her phone behind.

Zak eventually surfaced and noticed that Lucy had took Gracie out when he noticed her leash was gone.

Zak put his head in his hands sighed and then grabbed his phone.

Nick?

Yeah Bro it's early what can I do for you .

We need to talk can I come over?

Sure. What do you need to talk about?

Lucy.

If its about her party get right over here V has got loads of ideas.

No Nick I need to talk alone.

Ok we will meet at the office we need to do some editing anyway.

Zak hung up his phone grabbed his keys and almost knocked Lucy off her feet as they collided at the front door.

Shit! Sorry Lucy.

It's ok where's the fire?

I'm off to the office to do some editing with Nick I will be home later.

No no! I think Nick and I have it covered. Zak lent in and kissed her softly. Bye. He said as he left.

Slowly slowly Lucy thought. As that was the most affection he'd given her in days. Though there was still something not right she couldn't put her finger on it.

Lucy sat around for a while and found herself feeling really restless.

She picked up her phone and called Veronique.

I'm just bored and well... Things aren't still right between me and Zak.

Fancy taking a walk down the strip?

I'd love too but with my arm in a cast I can't drive. You should of seen me trying to shower this morning can't wait to get it off!

Lucy chill I will come get you. Nick got in with Zak when they went to the office so I have the car.
