Back to Fleischmann

Take me back to Fleischmann,
Where the watusis are seven feet tall.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
And let me sound the bugler's call.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
To step on rocks in the Pow Wow bowl.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
Where the view of the lake never gets old.

Often times I sit alone
Reminiscing of times long ago
Sitting on the porch late at night,
Till the Boatswain would tell me to go.
I think of the friendships,
I think of the fights,
I think of dance practices going well into the nights.
But the show must onward go
As we set aside worry, want, and woe.

Take me back to Fleischmann,
Where the watusis are seven feet tall.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
And let me sound the bugler's call.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
To step on rocks in the Pow Wow bowl.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
Where the view of the lake never gets old.

I smelled the woodsmoke,
Coming down Feather River Drive.
At only 65 miles an hour,
Those cookies are getting cold, don't ya know?

I saw the campfire burning.
Down over in Blue Lake while gigging frogs
Oh my flashlight them bull frogs found stunning,
Sitting there on their rotting logs.

I read the noises of the night
Crouched atop AT&T Rock.
There were more deer than bars a'coming,
With my girlfriend I could hardly talk.

Take me back to Fleischmann,
Where the watusis are seven feet tall.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
And let me sound the bugler's call.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
To step on rocks in the Pow Wow bowl.
Take me back to Fleischmann,
Where the view of the lake never gets old.

Oh there's always a Luau down at the waterfront,
And a climb up at Ǝagle Creek.
There's always a competition up at archery,
And there's never enough flat rocks at the Ridge.
I swear that one day I'll be whole again.
When my foot the hydrophobic soil once more meets.
Because there's no place I'd rather go,
Than getting my free milkshake while outrunning the Volcano.
