In My Dreams

You're still with me
In my dreams.
Your fruity perfume's still strong
In my dreams.
Your little ticklish giggle's still there
In my dreams.
Your eyes still such a vibrant green
In my dreams.
You're still pouting as I have to leave
In my dreams.

But one day you stopped pouting and let me go
And lonely I am very so
Real life's just not quite as nice
As my dreams.

You're still with me
In my dreams.
We're still walking around Midtown
In my dreams.
You're still trying to invite me to your church
In my dreams.
You're still trying to be a pilot
In my dreams.

But all that's faded and gone
As I still teach shooting sports all day long
Because out here in these woods without you,
My heart is rotting, like the logs.
