As the rest of the week went by rather quickly after that day, Penelope left us alone, Nana Rose gave us space when she felt that we needed it. But our date that Friday night went spectacularly, we went out to Sweetwater River and had a picnic near the riverside. We played some music on the car stereo and danced for most of the night, ate a burger or two and had a couple shakes. It was just perfect in every way.
We finished the night at the lodge in the pool and I wore my black swim trunks and Cheryl wore a two piece cherry red bikini. "So, how do you think this night is going Dannykins?" She asked.
"It was amazing but now. It's perfect Cheryl."
"How perfect?"
"Perfect to the point that I want to go upstairs and have my way with you." I grinned.
"Sounds tempting." She kissed me. "Why don't you have me right here?"
"Okay my Blossom." I kissed her with enough fire and passion that I could have started a fire in the pool alone. Cheryl breathed heavily as I kissed her neck and nipped at her ear or jawline. I maneuvered us around until we were right by the five foot depth marker and I ground my hips into hers and she started moaning my name and how good I felt and made her feel in the process. She yanked on my hair and started kissing me ferociously like I had somehow unwittingly unleashed her wild side. We traded dominance for two hours until we were almost too tired to stay afloat in the pool.
"Man, that was very fun."
"Agreed Dannykins. But next time. We should really let ourselves loose." She grinned while biting her lower lip.
"I'll do more than that next time." I grinned as I kissed Cheryl as we dried off and headed upstairs to our room for the night. I slipped into dry boxers and pajama bottoms but didn't bother wearing a shirt which made Cheryl smile like a Cheshire Cat. She just slipped into some nice lingerie and a silk nightgown and slid into bed next to me.
"Goodnight Dannykins." She grinned as she kissed me one more time as she pulled the covers over both of us.
"Goodnight My Blossom." She rested her head on my chest as I wrapped my right arm around her.Over the next couple months, Hiram Lodge who had recently returned to Riverdale was sticking his nose in Blossom business which in turn meant my business. However when he made the mistake of threatening Cheryl when Penelope tried to back out of a deal. He had no idea as to what kind of danger he had unleashed on himself and his wife.
Veronica asked me and Cheryl to come to the Pembrooke to plan out the decorations and overall look of the Valentines Day dance. We had fun planning it out with Veronica. But when Hiram and Hermione Lodge came in from a town meeting regarding a building under the Blossoms ownership. Hermione saw me and her face quickly went from happy and content. To scared and deathly afraid.
"Mija." Hiram said to Veronica as his wife stood frozen near the doorway.
"Daddy. This is Daniel Boyce and Cheryl Blossom. They are here to help me plan the decorations for the Valentines Day dance."
"Good." He grinned. He extended his hand to Cheryl and shook her hand but when he extended it to me. I looked at it and went back to focus on the decorations ideas. "I guess some of us are not big on manners."
"Pigs maybe not." I said coldly looking at him. "But snakes are. However when it comes to threats against someone we love. We take it very personal to the point of revenge is a must. And if I were you Hiram. I'd make sure you keep your wife close and sleep with an eye open. Because the things about Rattlesnakes is that they can strike from anywhere." I looked to Hermione who jumped a bit as my eyes looked to her then Hiram. "Your wife should know my reputation by now. I don't deal in what ifs or threats. I deal in absolutes and dead to rights promises. You threaten Cheryl again. And I'm going to take great pleasure in taking your life apart. Starting with your wife." I approached Hermione. Cheryl smiled as Veronica started to worry. "You know. There's a species of Rattlesnake that secretes a venom that eats away the muscle of wherever it bites. I'd really. Hate for anything to happen to Hermione's pretty face." I slid my hand over Hermione's left cheek. "So soft, beautiful, so, corruptible." I then retracted my hand and approached Hiram. "As for you Hiram. I owe you a response for threatening my Cheryl. Of course being as me and Cheryl are here to plan out the decorations and layout of the Valentines Day dance. I'll just have to save what I have in mind for another day. But make no mistake. Hiram. My revenge. You won't. See. Coming." He retired to his study and Hermione stayed put where she was at. I motioned for her to leave us and she nearly sprinted to her room.
"Damn. That was great work Dannykins."
"I warned Hermione what would happen if her family involved themselves with the exception of you of course Veronica. In my affairs or of the affairs of my charge. Hiram threatened Cheryl. And it's high time he understands how dangerous a snake can really be." When we came to a final decision as to what the Valentines Day Dance decorations and layout would be. Cheryl and I left the Pembrooke and headed back to the Winter Lodge. The dance was quickly approaching and Hiram was starting to lose his nerve and his mind. He started to question everything he ate, drank and slept in. I tapped my connections and had them prepare to open the mother of all floodgates on him. So when the Valentines Day Dance arrived. I sent Hiram one final message before the dance later that night...
"Mr. Lodge. This came for you sir." Andre the new door man said handing Hiram a card.
"I wonder who sent this?" He opened it and read the message, 'Jake said it best that you can play with a snake, but if you keep playing with it you better expect one thing. Your gonna get bit.'
He then heard a scream from Hermione and he ran to their bedroom and found a baby cottonmouth in a box. He had her rushed to the hospital and by the time the Dance was to start he arrived as the guest of honor. Cheryl and I stood on the stage and held glasses of champagne in our hands. "Ladies and gentleman. May we present the guest of honor tonight that made all this possible. Hiram Lodge." Cheryl introduced and I handed him a glass of champagne with a very special cocktail of my own design. He held it high and took a microphone from a stand and me and Cheryl headed down to the dance floor.
"Thank you. Let's have a safe and fun night." He took a swig and I smiled as did Cheryl.
I reached up and tapped my earpiece and said, "Do it." My hacker connections unloaded everything of Hiram Lodges dirty laundry and deals onto the web even sending a special care package to the FBI and Interpol. Veronica approached us.
"As much as I loved having my dad back. He deserves what's coming." She kissed my cheek and shook Cheryl's hand and hugged her.
"Oh the fun isn't over yet." I said. Veronica wondered what I was talking about. Until I motioned to the stage, where Hiram was finding it hard to breathe. "The funny thing is about criminals posing as legitimate businessmen is that they'll do anything to appear legitimate. Especially take a drink of a highly toxic drink."
"Nice touch Dannykins."
"My own cocktail of cobra, mamba and cottonmouth venom. He'll be okay. As long as he doesn't wash his hands for a month or two even after he recovers. You see the card he got I dusted with Texas Rattlesnake Venom powder. If it gets wet by any means. He will be saying bye, bye to the muscles in his hands." Veronica smiled along with Cheryl and I.
"Will my mom be okay?" Veronica said.
"Oh yeah." I smiled.
"I sent the baby cottonmouth to your mother and what she didn't realize is that it had it's venom sack removed. So she thinks she got bit by a still venomous snake when she didn't really."
"You are so devious." I wrapped an arm around her. "It's such a turn on."
"Okay. Well thank you for sparing my mom at least. And see you in school on Monday."
I walked on stage and said, "Okay people while Mr. Lodge comes to terms with a very bad case of laryngitis. Let's not let it ruin tonight. So dj please play a jam." I leapt off the stage as a song started playing. Cheryl and I dancecd the night away and as for Hiram. He went back to New York. Veronica told us he felt safer there and he wouldn't set foot in Riverdale ever again. Hermione stayed in Riverdale with Veronica and buried the hatchet with me and Cheryl by giving us the money Hiram was paid by Penelope for the deal she renegged on. But when the Valentines Day Dance ended that meant that prom wasn't too far away. When we got home from the Valentines Dance Penelope met us at the door to the Winter Lodge and I had Cheryl head inside because I didn't want her to catch cold. Even with the jacket she had on.
"So I hear I am to thank you for setting Hiram straight. for what he did to the Blossom family."
"No. I just taught him a lesson that I hope I don't have to teach you. Don't threaten Cheryl and expect to get away with it. Because I will come looking for some payback."
"Well, regadless. Thank you. For keeping Cheryl safe. If nothing else you have proven that you are the perfect man for my daughter."
"Wow, an apology. Tell me did it hurt your brain or was I imagining the smoke from your ears." I walked past her and headed upstairs to Cheryl and I's room. She was still in her dress and pretending to have 'trouble' getting out of it.
I helped her out of the dress carefully and she helped me out of my suit. We just slid into bed and fell asleep in each others arms.
