2 Miles Outside Riverdale.

It was as normal a day as any could really be for Riverdale. Sweetwater River was bustling with hikers and nature lovers and last chance campers alike. Pops was also a buzz with people. And even though its been a little over a year since Jason Blossoms murder. Its still fresh in some minds. Others its close to gone.
The Blossoms as a family have been trying to hide their shame of Cheryl burning down the family mansion.

However, something is coming that not even the Blossom board saw coming.

Just outside of town a brown headed, green eyed rough looking bruiser approached the Riverdale town sign. "Finally here." He said taking out a stick of gum, unwrapped it and popped it in his mouth and started chewing on it. "Look out Riverdale, a snake is about to make himself at home here."
A car whizzed by him only to stop and back up and stop right next to him. "Need a lift?" Said Hermione Lodge who was coming back from doing some business out of town for her husband.
"Yes, thank you." Said the stranger.
"Hop in."
The stranger got in and gently closed the door. After he put his seatbelt on Hermione drove off towards town.
"So, what brings you to Riverdale?"
"Business."
"Really with who?"
"The Blossoms."
Hermione looked at the stranger out of the corner of her eye. "Okay. How long will you be in town for?"
"Not sure. Could be a month or more, even a year or so. And I noticed you staring at me after I said Blossom."
Hermione reeled from that statement.
"When you've spent the better half of your life not trusting anyone and always being a loner. You pick up certain talents shall we say." He looked at her with an icy stare that sent deathly chills down her spine and up her arms. "How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. Daniel Boyce. And you are Hermione Lodge."
She looked at me in surprise. "How did you know that?"
"Quick reader of license plates, pictures or name tags, but I knew it was your name when I saw this." I reached for the console between us and pulled a business card that was in the little open compartment. "Lodge Industries. And I deduced that you were too old to be Hiram's daughter. There was only one explanation left. His lovely wife, Hermione Lodge."
"Are you here for just the Blossoms?"
"If you mean am I here to hurt you and your family. The answer is no. Nor will I hurt the Coopers, the Andrews or the Jones'. I'm only here for the Blossoms. And to make a few friends while I'm at it."
She stopped in front of Thorn Hill. "Here you are."
"Thank you again for the ride Mrs. Lodge. I do hope we see each other again sometime. " The way I said that made Hermione slightly shudder. I exited the car with my bag in hand and closed the door before Hermione drove off. I spit the gum I was chewing on out onto the ground then approached the gates of Thorn Hill.

Cheryl was in the parlor of the winter lodge and was reading when she heard a knock on the door. Penelope Blossom answered it.
"Hello Miss. Blossom. I'm Daniel Boyce. And I'm here to be Cheryl's valet, bodyguard, etc." I opened my bag and pulled a contract with my signature and a real surprising other signature. Nana Rose Blossoms signature was on it. "I believe that you will find everything in order."
"Yes. Of course. Come in please." I took the contract back and put it back in my bag then walked in.
"Thank you. " I smiled as I looked around.
"Cheryl! You have a visitor!"
'Gee thanks.' I whispered.
I didn't have to wait long as Cheryl came into the foyer. "Yes, mommy?"
"Cheryl, this is Daniel Boyce. He's your new valet, bodyguard and some other things." I bowed a bit in respect. Just not enough to leave myself open to any kind of attack. Physical, mental or verbal.
"Hello." Cheryl said no change in her facial expression.
"Cheryl." I replied.
"Will you show Mr. Boyce where he will be staying?" Penelope asked.
"Of course mommy. Right this way." She led me up the stairs of the lodge and to a guest room. "Here you are. Dresser over there and the bathroom is down the hall. Dinner is at six sharp. Any other questions please hesitate to ask." She said as I walked by her and into the guest room.
"Okay, thank you. However I do have one or two requests if I may." She rolled her eyes and nodded once. "Call me Dan, Danny or Daniel even D if you wish. No mister or sir. Secondly. Do not test me on how much of your HBIC attitude I can take. Because you will not like the explosion of anger I'm capable of. So around me. Please keep the sass and the tude to a very very dull roar or minimum. As long as you do that. We will have no problem." I could tell that I got to her because she slowly started to lose the Ice Queen facade.
"Done and done."
"Good." I put my bag on the bed and started unpacking as Cheryl closed the door and walked back downstairs to the parlor.
