         “Boo.” the figure smirked.

Katherine's eyes widened and before she even realized what she was doing, she literally jumped onto the person to tackle him into a hug, relief easing her mind. For a moment there, she had mistaken him as some kind of burglar. But who cares right? It was Ben! And oh boy was she glad.

Just for a split second the blonde boy's eyes widened a bit out of surprise at the sudden gesture before his smirk returned to his face. “Missed me that much, huh?” He chuckled, making the brunette immediately pull back in embarassment. “O-of course not,” she stuttered, her face tinted in a bright pink color but quickly recovering as she lightly punched him in the shoulder.

“What was that for?!” Katherine exclaimed. “You're asking me?” Ben countered as he raised his hand to his shoulder. “You just scared the living daylights out of me, you jerk,” the brunette mumbled, shaking her head. “And besides, last time I checked you moved away,” she added quietly. “Oh? Stalking me now, aren't we?” Ben teased. “O-of course not. I just kind of planned to stop by your house to say hi but they apparently told me you moved out. How come you never told me?” Katherine asked as she glanced over at Ben, who just shrugged in return. “I don't know. I just thought I'd let you find out yourself.”

Katherine raised an eyebrow but decided to keep quiet as she watched the blonde boy sit on the carpeted floor and grab the controller. A smile made its way on her fair face as she observed him play Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask with his tongue stuck out in concentration.

After a while, Katherine decided to sit beside Ben on the carpet. The two stayed there, taking turns on the controller, making jokes about each other and fighting over little unnecessary things—sometimes during 2-player games, both would argue how the other was purposely distracting him or her just to win the game when both of them were clearly doing so—just like old times.

After 2 hours or so, Ben finally glanced up at the clock.

        5:45 p.m.

The blonde pushed himself up and turned to the girl who was still sitting on the floor, playing. “Well, I gotta go. See ya.” The brunette merely glanced up before returning her gaze back to the telivision screen. “Yeah, see you,” she replied with a smile.

Ben nodded and headed to the door. He stepped out of the house and cast one last glance at the girl playing in the living room before he finally closed the door shut.

A malicious smile crept onto Ben's face as he walked away, whistling a particular tune from a video game.
