"Married life is rather pleasant." Elsa thought to herself, nothing had drastically changed, but at the same time waking up and seeing Rex's face next to her always made her smile.

They had been married almost four months, and between Rex actually working he was gone a lot trying to dodge his new 'princely' duties. Elsa chuckled at that, Rex was not meant to be royal, but unfortunately when he married her he got a title too.

"If only General Skywalker could see me now. I'm not sure whether he would laugh or kick me out of the army altogether." Rex had mentioned one night, running his hand over his head, as he was apt to do when he was nervous or frustrated.

Elsa laughed softly and sat up in bed to kiss is forehead. She was convincing him to let his hair grow out, in this climate he needed to retain his body heat during the winter.

"I'm sure he'd be proud that the captain he trained was moving up in the universe." She said, a tease lacing her words.

"It's simpler when the people expect less of you." He complained, smiling nonetheless as his wife... His wife, snuggled against him. Elsa chuckled again.

"You said the people that time." She reminded him, he often said that only royals talked like that.  Rex groaned, and Elsa decided to leave the matter alone for the time being. Elsa switched off her light, and lay down. Both of them had long schedules the next day, and they needed their sleep.

That next day Rex was out of the palace again, and Elsa had her usual mountain of work. Occasionally she came across a worried Anna following a toddling Aaron. He had taken his first steps a few weeks ago, and now Kristoff had set him loose on the numerous hallways.

Anna was like a shadow behind him, worry about every possible object that could cause harm to her angel.

The last thing Elsa did that day was go to another office to pick up some results she had ordered. There had been suspicions in her mind for quite awhile now but she wanted positive proof.

"Ahh, Queen Elsa, good day Milady." The old man behind the desk greeted her with a warm smile. Elsa returned the smile, he had been employed here since before Anna was born.

"Good day, have the results come back?" She asked, an anxious tone seeping through her normally calm voice.  The man nodded his head heartily, reached for a stack of papers and shuffled through them..

"Yes my Queen, they just arrive this morning. It seems that it is as you suspected." He said nodding his head as though agreeing with her.

Elsa held out her hand , and the man reached over his desk to hand them  to her. Elsa scanned them for a few moments, then nodded her head in thanks and left the room.

She hurried back to her office, grateful she didn't run into anyone. Shutting the doors behind her she fell into her chair, she looked at the papers again, there was no mistake, she had been right...

How in the name of all that was good was she supposed to handle this? Because she had kept herself shut out from the world most of her life she and her parents had never discussed any of these things. She sighed and leaned back in her chair, well there was no way to reverse it now. She'd figure out something before he came home.

At least that's what she had promised herself, but then she had gotten caught back up in her work, even though Rex was gone for another three days, she never actually prepared.  On the third night she was working late, she had just been ready for bed when she had been informed of some last minute reports that needed her attention.
