Personal Log Entry: #2,678 (Digital)
Mako said something interesting today. Apparently he had some new found determination and since it's Mako you can't really stop his train of thought. It's pretty cute. He has claimed this many times before but apparently this time it's different. Or so he claims. He said there's a storm coming, or some crap like that. Yet he claimed it was a big one. Big enough that a recon drone had a "return home" feature scheduled two weeks from now. Mako is no hacker, he's an engineer with a dream. So again, it's cute. But he said it with such security that it kind of scared me. I've never seen him with such a determined expression. It's admirable, not so cute.
Mako didn't quite tell me his plan, which wasn't normal. He'd usually go on with a long rant until he noticed that I wasn't really listening. This scares me. It scares me that if we actually do something. Then the fate of the endangered species of humans is on our backs. I always am up for a challenge but I have a feeling Nash is thinking of something a little too much.
He described his precious storm as "a storm so powerful it could turn the land into 'flowerful fields'". It's funny and I don't know where he pulled out these analogies from, but we weren't exposed to much poetry so he tried. But it was sweet, I told him once that my dream was to see a field full of flowers. So I get what he was trying to do. Even if that dream would never come through he was determined to make that happen. I didn't tell him that I had other dreams, though. More meaningful and dear to my heart, that also will never happen. Still, it was his way of saying that he was being serious and he needed his partner-in-crime. And of course I accepted. Yet, I don't know to what extent his end goal is. I mean he is smart, tactical and a born leader. But he's too ambitious sometimes, he just needs to calm down take a breather and take his shit at a time.
