Elizabeth's P.O.V.
I woke up and realized what today was. The day where I fight to save my friend and other people's lives. I sighed and got up. I noticed that Jason was gone. But there was a note.
'Meet at the mine field. xoxo' he said.
I headed to the bathroom and took a shower. I took a nice, long, hot shower just to clear my thought and calm my nerves. I got out and wrapped a towel around myself. I got dressed and walked out my room. I walked in my brothers room. They were getting ready for school.
"Hey guys" I said.
"Hey Lizzie, guess what?" Eli asked.
"What?" I asked.
"A girl said she liked me" he said excited.
"No she likes me" Elijah said.
"That's great guys" I said smiling.
Then I pulled them into a hug. They hugged back, confused.
"I love you guys" I said tearing up.
"We love you too" Eli said.
I walked out their room and headed downstairs. My mom and Dad were talking.
"Hey guys" I said.
"Morning sweetie" my mom said.
Then I walked up to them and pulled them into a big hug.
"Whoa! Is everything alright honey?" My dad asked.
"Yeah. Everything's fine. I just wanted to say that I love you guys. So much" I said.
"We love you too" my mom said.
I let go of them and turned away. I teared up and walked out the house. I looked at my house one last time. It might be the last time I see it. I got in my car and drove to the mine field. Once I was there, I got out. I took a deep breath and headed towards the cliff. I stopped and closed my eyes. I heard footsteps but didn't need to turn around to know who it was.
"So this is it?" I asked.
"Yeah. I know you can do this" Jason said.
"How do you know that?" I asked looking at him.
"Because you're strong, smart and I know you can overcome any obstacle you encounter" he said walking towards me.
"But what if during training, that was a fluke? W-What if I fail and Jaden and the world ends because of me?" I asked looking down.
I felt a finger lift me head up and I looked in Jason's eyes.
"Lizzy, you're gonna be OK. We're gonna be OK. The Gray Beast is going down, not Jaden, not the world, not you" he said.
