Chapter 4 - Values

SARADA POV

"I swear it was him, Hokage-sama. I looked him dead on his eyes. There's no mistake". I frantically try to plead my case before Lord 7th and his wife Hinata. It's been years since he disappeared. The only thing we ever found was his black jacket sitting at This odd tree. There were plenty of search parties but to no prevail. "We'll continue to search the area you guys fought in. The mission is still as stands. We can't confirm whether your claims are—

"LORD 7th", kakashi tan and burst open the door. "What is it Sensei? Why are you rushing", Naruto and his wife quickly jump from their seats. "It's them, Akatsuki. The two Team 7 were sent to investigate. They are at the front gates." Everyone gasped at his words and quickly left the Hokage office rushing and assembling Jonin on the way. I reach to get my kunai ready but, shit. It was left at where we fought.

Flashback to their fight. (Boruto POV)

I momentarily froze at hearing my name again. Quickly though I snap back into it realizing I can't blow my cover. "Boruto, the hokage's son? That's not me princess. My name is Ruto. Though Boruto might me an interesting addition to our group". I smirk and quickly use shadow clone justu before she could realize. Mitsuki is still dealing with Shikidai and Inojin. They are not s problem for him. She quickly throws and kunai at me and I catch it. Before she can even react I motion to Mitsuki and tell him fallback. As he throws them off him we both jump back into a branch and teleport away.

"I can use this as in excuse to go to the leaf", I smirk and Mitsuki winks. We both needed to back off. Any further confrontation and our fronts would have been blown. After a while, we get out of pursuing range and talk over our next moves. Mitsuki says, "We still need to take our chunnin test, maybe we should use her kunai and say they attacked us first". It's a good idea, but I would they even accept it. "Well it's worth a shot", I say as we rest before heading back.

Flashback done (Boruto POV)

We have just stated our business as Kakashi rushes back to Hokage office. I have my mask on while Mitsuki is just a hooded figure. Waiting in front of the gates, we were opened to a not so warm welcome. Seeing so many Jonins surrounded us I quickly glance over the bunch. My heart starts to pinch when I see Mom and a struggling Himiwari. I'v missed them so much. Getting our attention is the one and only Hokage. "State your business here. Also I hope you know, in this village, Akatsuki, has a very bad rep. So we need information about you too". Mitsuki responds to his price first. "We would like to get our chunnin license and then further more become Jonin. That's all Lord 7th". A bunch of uproar from the crowd begins to happen. Obviously displeased at ya even though we haven't done much to anything. Catch bandits and help villages. There may haven been a couple of assassinations involved...but they were for the greater good. "First take off your mask", he demanded. Quickly I yell "NO, it stays on. We haven't committed crimes. You don't need to know who we are".

He laughs unexpectedly but then it turns into a cold stare. Suddenly I feel his chakra rise. The bright red orange of the kyuubi. "You don't have much of a choice here". I response Mitsuki and I let out our own Killer intent. To no prevail though. "As much as I hate to admit it you are the real deal", I say disappointed I haven't surpassed him.  "Cmon, we haven't got nothing to lose". I take off my mask and then hear gasp from the crowd.
