Chapter 3- Re-Encounter

A/N (Timeskip—4 Years)

Sarada POV

It's really been 4 years since I saw them. My team, I thought we would at least become Chunin together, but now we are all Jonin. Currently I am not on a team, but I do fill in for others and do solo missions myself.  "Hey Sarada", Shikidai said. "Chocho, is really sick and can't do this mission with us. I know, such a drag ", he said with a sigh. "It is no problem", I said with a smile. "So, what are the mission details". Inojin and Shikidai get serious and I show a creepy smile. Inojin begins to speak, "This is currently a S-Rank secret, until we investigate further. There have been rumors of 2 strong ninja around going to villages claiming to be Akatsuki". I gasped, knowing full well of the organization my dad told me about. He even said his brother joined it. "When do we leave", I ask. "Dusk", replied Shikidai. Before we go, Lord 7th wanted to speak to us about them. "Guys, the Akatsuki of my days, and your parents day were an extremely dangerous group. Anyone of us could have lost our lives during those times. Please exercise the utmost caution. And remember this is just a scouting mission, we do not know if they truly are who they say they are. If need be, I will go deal with them not you". As Dusk arrives we leave the village. Silence for about 15 minutes until Shikidai starts to speak. We were all probably scared at the fact that the Hokage was scared of their group that much. "Their last known location was the village of rain, Amega. We will head their first and begin to ask around". That is about a 2 day journey, they probably would have already left I thought. But since I have no clue where, I said nothing as going there first was our best bet.

Boruto POV  (A day later)

We have been here for a dayyyy, Mitsuki.  He just smiles and says, "We still have business to attend here. We need permission from the Kage to freely travel through here and accept missions". I know but, Jesus he is sure taking his time. Me and Mitsuki have been making our rounds to dozens of places after leaving the Land of Whirlpools. We have spread our name quite far and these missions have honed our skills as I look in the mirror and see my byakugan. I still remember when Tou-Chan thought I was lying when I told him, baka, I say to myself. As Mitsuki continues doing whatever he was doing I leave to go get something to eat. I put my mask on (Basically Obito's mask with only his left eye shown. He covers his byakugan so people don't trace him back to the Hygua Clan in the leaf.) to avoid any suspicion as I walk though the village to find a burger joint. Almost the full day has past as I look for Mitsuki. "Boruto", I turn around, speaking of the devil. "We've just got approved, last stay the night and leave in the morning at dusk". We head to find some lodgings and went asleep not knowing what was to happen in the morning. Ugh, I groan as I wake up. Mitsuki is already ready and we strap on our rouge headbands to go. We left the village jumping through the trees about to head for the village hidden in the mist. I smile as I remember our class trip there. Suddenly I pick up on 3 familiar chakra signatures and Mitsuki notices them too. They quickly disperse, Someone is after us, I say to Mitsuki as he nods. We stop on a branch as a shuriken misses hitting the tree. BYAKUGAN, I saw as I see 3 figures in the trees and point them to Mitsuki. They fall back and started running as we pursue. Their Chakra makes me believe their at least Jonin class Mitsuki, be careful, as I get a nod in reply. We could easily handle Jonin class, but they outnumber us and I get a weird feeling from the female one. She has some type of doujitsu activated. As karma entails I hear the circus yell "SHARINGAN", and both me and Mitsuki stop. She starts to engage us I get up to move but I'm stuck in place. "SHADOW POSSESSION JUSTU", great, I say. Finally a ninpou art of bird comes flying and knocks me to my feet. "Enough playing around Boruto, you and I both know we can handle them". "SAGE MODE", Mitsuki says as he activates. I get up and take my mask off showing my Byakugan and pull my sword out it's sheath. The female lunges at me for an attack but immediately stops in her tracks. I begin my attack, but she says something that freezes me and Mitsuki.

SARADA POV

He has a Byakugan, but how I think. The Hyuga clan is exclusively in the Leaf. No matters. I activate my sharingan. I begin to lunge with my kunai and see that face. The golden hair and sky blue eyes. He comes at me but I can't move. All I can say is, Boruto?

A/N Here it is finally guys. I was planning to update Friday but in my AP US HISTORY class we have an essay due Monday on this book I had to read yesterday. School is making it tough for me to stay on schedule so please bear with me. Also I know not people people have read so far and that's fine, we all have to start from somewhere, but for those of you who have it would be nice to leave some feedback <3
