Chapter 5 - Return

Boruto POV 

The gasp from the crowd were bitter sweet. I turn to Mitsuki and he looks back at me. I shrug and see Lord 7th, my father in disbelief. "ONI-CHAN", screams Himiwari as she runs into my arms. "You've grown", I say as she hugs me back screaming "BAAAAKKAA". I'm about s tall as my father now and really didn't realize it. A lot of the emotions swirling around this place is a lot to take in. My mother and father are speechless, they probably don't even know what to say right now. Did they think I ran away? Or maybe I was dead? Didn't matter, even if they sent a search team they were bad at what they did. Lord 7th unleashed his chakra and commanded everyone to return back to their business. "Remember we're here on business, but I would understand if yo-", "Shut up Mitsuki", I say as I cut him off. Without noticing everyone that was left was Lord 7th, my mother and Himiwari. 

Naurto POV

Why is my son here? We sent so many search parties, I for sure thought he was dead. And why he is sporting those damned robes and repping that wretched name. A flurry of emotions went trough my head, I didn't know what to make of it. He grown so much, and even though he isn't stronger than me, I could tell by the killing intent he released that I could lose a limb if we fought. What should i do? First I have to send everyone home and maybe we should go home too. After that was done I had kakashi escort Mitsuki and keep him busy while I attneded to family matters. "Boruto, let all of us talk at home".

Boruto POV

Did he just say let's go home, I don't want to go there. I might never leave again. 'Stop", I said. Whatever business with me you have, we can have in your office. However, If you want to talk like a family, you lost that chance 4 years ago. I say this trying to not look at my mom and Himiwari and their puffed faces. "Boruto (as Lord 7th released his aura) just come".  I shutter at the energy of the Kyuubi. Really scare thought I sigh. As we make it back to the house, I freze at the front door. The aroma is so familiar it almost brings tears to my eyes. As we step in, evryone gathers in the living room are and we sit down. There is so much tension, you could cut it with a butter knife. "Why did you leave big brother", Himiwari says in the cutest, saddest voice anyone could ever hear. Lord 7th just sits in silence next to mom as he rest his head down. I really don't know what to say. My father looks up at me and gestures to her question knowing that would be a good place to start. I really don't know what to say I exclaim. Maybe it was impulse, maybe it was because I was tired, or maybe it was because I needed to get away. But one thing I do know fo sure, that maybe not having a caring father leads to stress and harm that isn't always shown. Lord 7th flinches at this thought and my mom begins to cry. "I told you, you were never there for him. A growing child especially a boy needs their father". She wails and Himiwari starts to cry too. I ball my hands up , trying not to cry too. It seems like I haven't grown as much as I thought I did. Then there's a moment of silence. Lord 7th gets up. "Boruto, I know there are things I have to atone for. I should have been there more, and not neglected you. It seems that I got caught up in my duties that I forgot my responsibilities at home". "Talk is cheap", I respond. "But it is comforting, whats in the past is in the past". It's late so I would really like to go to sleep. "And Ka-san I'm sor--". She pulls me into her chest and begins to cry and Himiwari hugs me too. "I'v missed you so much", she murmurs. "I'll never let you go again". I begin to cry at these words and we all just stood there in silence and embraced each.

A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER

Sarada POV

I can't believe it was really him. He's grown so much and gotten even stronger than me. I want to see him really bad, I can't believe he left me just like that. I'm jump from house to house to reach Lord 7th's. Before I even get the glimpse of the house someone jumps out and catches me off guard."Who's the-", I'm about to scream until they close my mouth. This smell, I break free and turn around. "Boruto", tears roll down my face as I smack him. "Baka", I hug him as he screams "Hey" while on the ground. You know, we all thought you were dead. I can't believe you would just go up and leave and all this akatsuki business. What's gotten into you. As I'm about to continue he pulls me close and we get into a embrace and then we just enjoy each other's warmth.

Boruto Pov

I don't remember Sarada to be this emotional. Well, I guess even the worst Tsudere's even grow soft, I snicker to myself. Sarada hits me seeing my face, "Ouch, I guess you haven't lost all your bite, haha". 'What happened to you guys when you all were gone", she asked me. We sit down and I told her all the stories and how Mitsuki and I trained and became strong. 'Let's spar" she asked sternly. I reply hesitantly, it's late and I don't really wan- "NO CHOICE", SHE SAYS. "Meet me in the sparring area tomorrow and, please don't leave me again". The last sentence caught  me off  guard, Sarada was surprisingly really cute.
