"SONG MIN DEBORAH"

My dance teacher yelled at me for the thousandth time.

"IT'S LEFT NOT RIGHT"

"Yeah, yeah whatever. I'll see you tomorrow, Seonsaeng."

Man, I am not ready for our debut yet.

I thought to myself as I exited the dance studio where I had been practicing the new Choreography for our first song, "Remember Me".  I am in a K-Pop group with three other girls, Park So Bahar, Jung Jae Bella and Kim Soo Jin, called "Young and Free". We were set to debut in two weeks, and film the MV in a week and a half, yet for some reason, I just couldn't get the choreography down correctly.

I headed towards my locker to get my stuff and head back to our apartment that was across the street. I had a whole night of popcorn and cringey BTS videos from YouTube planned out. I needed to get some rest because of the stress of getting ready to debut was weighing me down.

As I opened my locker, one of the other members, Jung Jae Bella ran up to me. Along with Park So Bahar, we were quite close because we had been friends since the 6th grade. We met Kim Soo Jin when we came to SM entertainment and were quick friends. I thought back to 7th grade when Bahar and I became really close to Bella. I chuckled as I realized that Bahar hadn't grown since then and was still the midget she had always been. I snapped back to reality when I saw Bella glaring at me, obviously waiting for something.

"Sorry, can you repeat the question?"

Bella sighed.

"I asked if you would like to join me and the rest of the girls for dinner later?"

"Sure! Just let me get cleaned up a bit."

"Of course. See you at 6:30 near the bus stop!"

"Okay, see you then!"

Guess my night of popcorn and cringey BTS videos was off.

Later that night, I walked to the bus stop that was closest to the apartment and saw Soo Jin's car parked next to it. As I approached, I saw that Bahar was in the front seat.

hah.

I thought to myself.

That is totally how this is gonna go down.

I sharply opened the door to where Bahar was sitting and looked at her quizzingly.

"Thanks for warming my seat up! Now move."

"Why in the world would I move?!" Bahar replied sassily.

"You're not tall enough to be up here, Stumpy. Now, Move"

Bahar grumbled but moved to sit next to Bella in the back.

I sat down next to Soo Jin and buckled my seat belt.

"So, where are we even going?"

Soo Jin was putting the address into her car as she replied.

"There's a new pizza place that opened up near here. It's gotten great reviews so far."

"Are we even allowed to have pizza? Since we're debuting so soon?"

Bella said in a worried tone.

"Jung Jae Bella, sometimes you just need a little junk food. What harm can it do?"

"Okay..."

If Bella didn't loosen up soon, she was bound to crumble under the pressure of debuting.

After we had ordered our pizzas, we sat down at a booth in the corner.

"Our pizza is taking forever" I complained.

"Wait, I know!"

Soo Jin exclaimed suddenly.

"Let's play a game while we're here!"

"Yes! Let's play truth or dare!"

Bahar said, excited now.

After around 20 minutes of asking each other dumb questions, Bahar turns to me and looks at me knowingly.

"Truth or Dare?", she asks me.

I'm in a daring mood right now.

"Dare."

"Okay....hmm...I dare you...to write a letter that contains your darkest secret and put it in a random locker near the dance studio"

Hm. Let's see...Oh no. No. Nononononononononono. My darkest secret is that my guilty pleasure is listening to "Good Thing" and "Whiplash" on repeat for hours on end.  Well, I guess someone is gonna find that out today.

I took out a piece of paper from my purse and started jotting down a letter. Bella kept trying to peek over my shoulder but I shoed her away.

"If this letter was for you, I would put it in your locker. Now get away"

When our pizza came, the game of Truth or Dare came to an end. We quickly gobbled up the pizza, paid, and left the restaurant. When we got back to the dance studio, I grabbed my purse, jump out of the car and run inside. Bahar follows me. When I get to the locker area of the building I quickly scan my eyes over the choices of lockers to put my letter in. My eyes land on locker #108. I walk up, slip the letter through the crack in the door, and run back to Bahar.

"All done?", she asks me.

"Yep! LET'S GET IT!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

Bahar sighs and looked over to see who was coming our way. It was Johnny, Winwin, and Mark from the amazing group NCT. I had been staning them for a few years now and I tried not to have a mental break down as they waved at us and walked over. I knew that Soo Jin, Bella, and Bahar were great friends with NCT because they actually went out and did social things, unlike me who sat in her room watching K-Pop vines all day long. I mean, I did know Johnny. Our lockers were next to each other so we had talked a few times.

"....Debi?"

Dammit. I really need to start listening to conversations instead of just going into my own world.

"Yes. Hello. What's happening? What did I miss?"

"We were just talking about your upcoming debut. Do you think you're ready?"

Winwin asked, a smile on his face.

"NO."

"Yes."

Bahar and I replied at the same time. She turned and glared at me.

Johnny laughed.

"Haha, it's okay. Debuting is tough."

Mark looked uncomfortable. I cocked my head, looked at Johnny and nodded towards Mark. Johnny leaned in and whispered in my ear.

"Mark gets really shy around pretty girls."

Mark heard and shoved Johnny so hard I had to jump out of the way quickly to avoid being squashed. Johnny landed with a thud on the hard floor and everyone burst out laughing. Johnny grumbled as he got up, which made us laugh more.

 Suddenly, Winwin spoke.

"It was great talking to you guys but we need to get to dance practice."

"Of course!"

Bahar answered.

"See you soon!" I said, still laughing at Johnny as he glared at Mark.

As they walked down the hall, I could hear Johnny and Mark fighting. I turned to Bahar and we laughed once more. Since I was dying from laughter, I almost forgot about my anxiety over who would get my letter.

Almost.
