chapter 23 The Truth // To Busan: day 5

Rose's POV:

I woke up at 8 and the others are sleeping but some are already awake. I got up quietly and I went to the bathroom. I looked at the mirror, my eyes were so puffy again, I have eye bags and some dried tracks from my tears last night.

I just want to forget everything, move on from it and just accept that he doesn't like me. Only as a friend.

I washed my face and apply some makeup to cover up my face. I look like a mess! I got out and saw that everybody is already awake, then Cass came to me.

"Let's talk at the balcony. NOW," she said.

"What's the problem?" She asked.

"It's just... About the kiss the other night... He said that it doesn't mean anything." I said and she got speechless.

"I felt that. That hurts. I'm sorry. But did you expect that it meant anything?" She asked.

"Of course I did. I can't help to expect anything because of his actions. I kept trying to forget it but I couldn't. I don't know why I kept on choosing to get hurt." I said.

"That means you love him. You're not caring if you're being like a fool because of it." Cass said.

I looked at her with disbelief. But what she said was true.

We both left the balcony and got in.

I just showed a smile.

Taehyung then knocked at the door so I opened it.

"We have to go down now," V said.

"Okay. We'll follow." I said and he nodded.

We all went down using the same elevator. The 14 of us are squeezed inside. Aish. There are 2 damn elevators, why did they use only one?!

We immediately ate our breakfast as soon as we got there but afterward, all of us received text messages at the same time.

"Ohh... The exam results are out." RM said excitedly.

Jungkook stood up all of a sudden making the others looked at both of us.

He pulled me out to the beach.

I already knew my score in Math. It was 97% and I knew I am higher than him.

"Where are these two going?" Jin said at our backs.

We stood in the middle of the beach. Jungkook showed me his results. My eyes widen and got dumbfounded.

OH SHiT! HE GOT IT HIGHER! HE IS 99%!

"So... What's your score?" He asked and crossed his arms.

I didn't know what to do but I suddenly thought of something.

I will run from him!

I ran so far and I heard Jungkook shouting.

"YAH! COME BACK HERE! MY PHONE!" He shouted from afar.

I didn't care and just ran further until I got tired so I started catching my breath.

Of course, you know the golden maknae. He doesn't want to lose so he catches up on me and he caught me. He suddenly carried me from my back.

"YAH! JUNGKOOK! LET ME GO!" I shouted.

"NO! Give me back my phone and your score!" He said.

"OKAY! OKAY! Just put me down." I said.

He put me down and held my wrist in case I run away. Clever rabbit.

"What's your score?" He asked.
