What Just Happened?

I wake up in Hoseok arms, but he's already awake.
We aren't in the position we were in last night, my left leg is around his waist and his arms are holding my waist.
Soft music plays in the background as he smiles at me.

"Good morning, Jagiya! Did you sleep well?"
Gosh I probably look like a mess, but he looks at me the way I look at stars.
I all of a sudden get the overwhelming urge to kiss him on the cheek.
I blush at the thought and turn my head away.
Silly girl, Y/n! You can't kiss him! You shouldn't be feeling this way...

But I am.

"I slept fine that you, Hobi. What about you, any nightmares?"
His smile widens into something that would leave the very sun jobless.
"No, I actually didn't! I think that's all thanks to you~."

I know he means we'll, but the feeling in my heart becomes a bit too much and I get out of bed.
It's only when I start getting up that I realise.... Hoseok is shirtless.

I quickly avert my eyes from him.
How could I not see that! At very least feel his bare skin!

I feel a blush creep up to my cheeks and turn around, but it's too late, I've see everything.
"Oh! Sorry about that! I get very hot when I sleep and with the added body heat, I had to take my shirt off. Does it bother you?"

I hear some shuffling and the he taps me on my shoulder, indicating that it's okay now, that he has a shirt on.

Hoseok. It's not that it bothers me... It's that I like it too much! I'm so confused...
"A little bit..." I say, not really looking him in the eye.

He pats my head and exits my bedroom, allowing me to get dressed. I have work again today so I put on a simple pair of jeans and a white shirt, paring it with my red converse.
When I walk into the kitchen, Hobi has already made toast and is hooking up his own music to my Bluetooth speaker.

It starts playing light dancing beats and he start dancing while spreading jam on the toast.
I take a seat at the island and watch him dance.

He starts out silly but gets more serious as the songs go on, dancing with passion.
I gotta say, he's damn good at dancing. His body looks so effortless, like his body is the music, like every step is a part of his nature.
Beautiful...

He makes his way around the island and pulles me off my seat to dance with him. I'm so caught up in the energy that I don't even care if I'll never be as good as him. At least I'm semi-coordinated...

We dance so much, I loose track of time, when a slower song comes on, he holds me closer, pulling me to his chest and we stay there, swaying slightly to the rythm, his hands in my waits and my arms round his shoulders.

Its slow, and calm, relaxing my into a sense where i feel weightless, carefree, as light as a feather.
I rest my head on his sholder as the song plays on somwhere in the roon that im no longer in.
Right now, its just me and Hoseok in the clouds.

"Ahem!"

We pull apart, startled by the sudden noise, looking to the person who made the noise on the doorway.
It's Jimin and he looks border line pissed but is trying to hide it.
"I'm here to take Y/n to work."

His voice is kind of cold as he looks at Hobi, who just smiles and apologises.
"Sorry! I guess I lost track of time!" he turns to me, still smiling, still on the high from dancing.
"I will see you later, Okay?"

I nod as I drab my bag that has my phone and my water bottle in it, before jogging to Jimin who is still leaning on the door frame.

"Ready to go?" I say a I walk past him, giving him a smile. He nods and returns my smile before slinging his arm around my shoulders.

Work flies by, there weren't as many people today but Jimin is resiving a lot of attention from young girls who came in asking for stupidly hard to remember orders.

It seemed like every time I look over there was some new girl asking for his number or on a date.
He seemed to like the attention, flirting and playing along. It was kind of funny, seeing him lead them on only to reject them later.

By the time lunch began to wind down, a handsome man came in ordering a coffee with milk but no sugar.

His gaze was so kind, he was quite dreamy and when I bought his coffee to his table -the one by the window with a tree growing out front- I saw he was reading Clipper of the Clouds by Jules Verne.

"Are you a Vernian?" I say. There was no hurry today, and I'm a sucker for a good book such as something by Jules Verne.

He looks up and gives me a lopsided smile.
"No, unfortunately, I'm not a Vernian. I'm not too good at adventure if it's not in a book. Have you read it before?"

I shake my head.
"I have read some of his other work, but not that one. What other authors do you like?"

Our conversation goes on for a little while until Manon called me over to help clean while she works on a group order.

"Well, I guess I'll see you around?" he says, putting down his empty coffee cup.
I nod picking it up and he hands me a piece of paper with his number on it.
"Call me if you ever want to chat while you're not at work. It's nice to meet someone as passionate about literature as myself."

I just smile and nod before we say our goodbyes and I start going round to the tables, cleaning them one by one.
When I get to Jimin's booth, however, he looks kind of pissed.

"What?" I say, trying to get him to tell me why he looks like his favourite character just died unceremoniously.

"Who the fuck was that? You said you didn't have a boyfriend." his voice is cold and demanding. He is clearly jealous, but why?

I roll my eyes.
"I don't have a boyfriend, he was just a customer and his name is Daniel. We were just talking, no need to get so jealous."

I try not to laugh as he crosses his arm across his chest and leans back into the padded booth. He looks like a child who didn't get the toy he wanted.

I walk away, getting on with the rest of my work until it's time for me to leave.

"Goobye, Manon. I made your mother a coffee, can you give it to her please?" she smiles and nods, waving to me as a goodbye and I step outside the shop to see Jimin waiting on a seat.

"C'mon, let's go home!" I say, pulling his hand to get him up.
He chuckles and complies, not letting go of my hand.

It's nice, the sun is starting to set and the last few people are going on jogs or starting to head home.
We continue walking in silence until Jimin breaks it.

"You need to be more careful. You don't know that boy in there, he could be part of Jackson's gang." he stops and turns to face me, his face creasing with worry.
I hate that, I never want to make him worry. Not Jimin, not anyone.

He squeezes my hand, bringing it up to his chest and my heart starts to beat faster.
"Please don't call him. Lose his number. I can't see you hurt, even it's him being with you or Jackson getting to you. I don't want to see you with anyone else."

I look at the ground, trying to figure out an appropriate response to what he just said.
He lifts my head up and looks deep into my eyes and soul.
"Just say you promise. Promise me you won't go with him or anyone else we don't trust. Promise us..."

He begins to lean into me as I whisper out: "I promise..."
Is he going to kiss me?
I start to get scared, turning my head so he doesn't get the chance to kiss me and he pulls away.

"Sorry... I don't know what I was thinking..." he turns away from me and starts walking down the path back home, turning his head slightly to call out to me.
"Come on, let's get you home!"

I stand there stunned, trying to figure out my heart and my head and what the fuck just happened there, but to no avail. So instead I do a little jog to catch up to him while the same thought echos itself in my mind.
What is happening?
