My nervousness doubled, maybe even tripled when the emcee made the announcement that we are starting very soon.

When we got in line, I knew that Lindsey was beside me. I could smell her. The helper blind folded us and immediately my other senses enhanced. "The males will be having a look at the females first." I mentally snorted. Talk about being sexist.

I was completely neutral to the first few but then one person scent caught me off guard. His scent was intoxicating. Almost as intoxicating as my mates. I could hear him inhale sharply. "You are mine, kitten." The way he said that sent chills up my spine but it felt right.

After the guys 'had a look at us', we returned to our lines and our blind folds were taken off. "Good Luck!" I could hear Lindsey whisper. "The females will have a thirty second headstart to run wherever inside the forest within the borders and after the thirty second headstart, the males will chase the females. Understand?" the emcee said. I got more nervous. I was nervous about who was going to catch me.

"On your mark, get set, go! "After that, I shifted into my wolf and broke off into a run, adrenaline pulsing through my veins. After a little while of running, I saw a river. Ah hah! I could make the person lose my scent with the river. Before I could make it, I was pinned down by a brown wolf. I could smell the intoxicating smell I smelled before. Was this the guy?

Either way he was aiming for my neck. I was helpless as he was too strong. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact but none came. When I opened my eyes, I saw that a white wolf was on top of the brown wolf. With one bite, I could hear the brown wolf's neck snap. I winced.

Then the white wolf looked at me. I froze. I felt awkward under his menacing gaze. My wolf whimpered and told me to submit meaning he is someone powerful. An alpha maybe. I shifted not bothering that I was stark naked. "What was that for!"  I yelled. He shifted too. I tried hard to prevent my eyes from going anywhere else except his eyes. "I told you that you are mine. He was going to mark you on the spot anyways!" he said. I stared at him hoping to distract him for a moment. Then I shifted and ran quickly towards the river.

Then there's a problem. I had no idea how to cross the river. Then I caught sight if a log. It looked flimsy so I wasn't go confident but I saw that the white wolf was catching up on me. This is a now or never decision. Carefully, I stepped on the log. It shook under my weight. As I took another step, I slipped and fell into the river. I let out a yelp. I was a good swimmer but the current was too strong.

I gave up until I felt a human hand grab my furry paw. I saw a blonde man with beautiful ocean blue orbs looking at me. Him. "Hold on to this. I'll get you out." he said. For once I was actually thankful. I tried to grip on to anything for as long as possible. I shifted to get a better grip. Damn the water was cold.

Hurriedly, he returned with a stick. I quickly grabbed onto it and he pulled me out. I panted once I was out. I nearly died. "Please, don't do it again. You almost got yourself killed." Never am I doing that again. But I'm still not giving up. I shifted one last time and ran to wherever to try my luck but I guess luck wasn't on my side because I saw a white wolf pounce on me.

He growled and so did I. I snapped at his neck and I gasp that came out more like a whimper when I realize what I just did. I marked him in wolf form! I shifted. "I'm sorry! I knew I shouldn't have done that. I'm so sorry!" I said as I started to panic.

He shifted and he smirked. "It's fine and it's only in wolf form. There will be no sign of me being marked in human form. And.." I raised a questioning eyebrow at him. " I caught you so you are mine as much as I am yours." he said with a proud grin. When he said that, butterflies were in my stomach.

He looked like he linked someone before a random wolf came with two sets of clothes. When I realized that I was still naked, I screamed. He looked at me and moved to stand in front of me. He growled. "Sorry, Alpha." The wolf who I assumed already shifted said.

He shifted and the man standing in front of me Aka alpha whoever. Threw me and oversized T shirt and a pair of shorts. I was more than thankful. It suddenly felt very cold. I put it on and so did he. "Nathaniel, go get the car. We're going home with my new mate." he said. The man who I assumed was Nathaniel smiled.

"Where is everyone else? " I asked." Home. It's not early you know? " when  he said that I looked up at the dark skies. I didn't even realize. Then,  a blue Mercedes Benz pulled up in front of us. He opened the door motioning for me to get in. I did.

When we were driving to wherever, I for some reason wasn't nervous at all. I felt safe actually. "So what is your name?" I asked him not wanting to call him 'man'  for the rest of the day. "Titus" he said. I nodded. It was a nice name. "Yours?" he asked. "Della."  I replied. "Della." he said testing it. I loved the way my name rolled so smoothly from his tongue. Why am I thinking like that? "I prefer kitten" he said and I heard someone else chuckle. "Nice to meet you, I'm Mikael. I'm the Gamma and Nathaniel over there is the Beta." I waved. And Mikael hugged me in a brotherly way. Titus growled. Mikael laughed again. "So what's his story?" I asked. "That one..."
