Before I could respond, I heard a knock on the door and Gamma Levi came in. I guess I was too distracted to sense him. "Sorry for interrupting, alpha but I must tell you something. You need to make up your mind. Choose one and let the other go." he said while showing his neck as a sign of submission.
Justin sighed as he ran a hand over his face. "Fine." when he said that, I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face. "Thank you,alpha" I said a little unwilling.
I retreated out of his office and I could swear I was happier than I ever was. I was finally going to get a mate. My other half. Someone who would appreciate me. My wolf howled with joy.
POV Justin :
"Can you please, not eavesdrop next time? " I said to him." well I can't help it, and it is better to take advantage of the fact that I have no scent. " he said.
" well, nothing is keeping you now. When are you going to officiate the Luna of the pack? " he asked." it's obvious. After she had her first shift and that is in December. Many months from now. " I said in a duh tone.
He nodded."Tell Kane to do the computer work. It's his cue." I said thinking about Della. I just can't bring myself to reject her. My wolf wouldn't let me.
I linked Della. If your new mate breaks your heart like lovers do,know that I'll be waiting here for you. I linked her. She ignored me. I sighed.
POV Della:
After I reached home, I was excited and exhausted at the same time. " Mom, Dad, I'm home!" I said. "hi dear" I could hear the sweet voice of my mom. She smiled at me. " where's dad?" I asked. "oh, he just went out to the grocery store. He'll be back in a while." she said still not losing her warm smile.
Then the door unlocked. I saw my dad walk in with some groceries. When he saw me, he engulfed me in a hug. "Can't breathe!" I said out of breath. He laughed. Then my expression turned into a serious one. "Mom, Dad, I have something to tell you. But you must promise me never tell Tristan about this." They gave me a confused look but nodded anyway.
"Okay. Two days ago I found my mate and apparently, he is alpha Justin, the alpha of our pack. He is dating Tristan. Tristan doesn't know of anything about this. Since he loves Tristan, I rejected him not wanting to go through many more waves of heat. I just now asked for him to grant me permission to go to the mating games. And he did. Which I'm so glad for. " I said with a wide smile. My parent both wore shocked expressions on their faces.
"Why didn't you tell us this earlier? " my mother said astonished. I gave her a sheepish smile and lightly shrugged." were we the first to know about it? " my dad asked." No. Natalya was. " I said earning groans from both my parents." When are you going to the mating games?" They asked again. "Tomorrow" I said. " So soon?" my dad asked. I nodded.
After talking to my parents for a while, I went up to my room to pack a back pack with all the things I could possibly need, trying hard to not over pack. Once I got everything I needed, I proceeded to knock on Tristan's door. " Tris, tomorrow I'll be leaving pack lands for a few days." I said. "Why?" she asked. " To meet an old friend" I lied. She nodded. Then she walked over to me. "Don't die." she said and I laughed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
