Day 5: The woman who I refered to as Jenny for some reason, came back every other day. She carved the same words into my stomach, before apologizing and walking out of the room. She did the same thing today, except she told me she was breaking free and that she would have someone save me.

I was happy, I had fantasized about being saved, preferably by Nightwing, but at this point, it didn't really matter.

I was running out of bandages. I had cut my shirt like a crop top for bandages, cut my pants, I even used my socks.

I sat on the floor and hummed a song I had been hearing from outside my window. (See above)

It was very melancholic, and for some reason I felt as though it described my life right now perfectly.

I stood up and continued humming, dancing slowly through the room, pretending someone was there with me. I didn't know who was with me, but I honestly didn't care.

I continued dancing until I heard a knock on my window. I turned around to see Nightwing. He had a grin on his face, "Long time no see, huh Aaliyah?"

I couldn't believe it, Nightwing standing near me, and remembering who I was. It was a dream come true.

I stopped dancing and walked over to the window. "Nightwing, what are you doing here?"

He looked at me in confusion, "What do you mean, what am I doing here? Saving you of course."

Well duh. "Well good luck because I haven't been able to find any way out."

"Have you tried the door?"

"No~ I didn't"

"Well no need to be sarcastic." He said, pouting slightly.

"Besides, there isn't a knob on this side of the door. You're going to have to find a way into this building."

"Or we could just do this." He pulls out some sort of gun and points it at the window bars. He shoots and the electricity on the bars were gone.

"Woah!"

"I know right? I borrowed it from Batman."

"These damn rich people always getting the cool stuff." I muttered under my breath.

"What was that?" Nightwing said, putting his hand on his ear. I knew he heard me. "Hey, I can't get the bars out from this side, could you do it for me please?"

I sighed, "Sure."

I pulled on the bars as hard as I could, before they fell off and I fell with them. "Thank God, I wasn't going to last another second in there. Thank you Nightwing."

"No problem Aaliyah."

"Before you leave, can you tell me how you remember me?"

"Who said I was leaving? And how could I forget your cute face?"

"Pshh, yeah right, me cute? That's like calling a blobfish cute. You probably are going to force me to keep Batman's secret of something like that. I promise you, I won't I have no reason to. Are you really going to follow me home?

"Well yeah, what's the matter? Your house a mess." He asked.

"No, it's just that you rich people always make fun of how tiny my house is."

"Well you don't have to worry about that when I'm around, you're forgetting that I used to be poor."

"Yeah okay. Let's go."

He offered a hand to help me up and out of the window, but I refused and got up there myself.

We walked back to my house, talking about random things. Deep inside I knew that I was falling for him, but I knew it would never happen, so I ignore the feeling.

We get to my house, which is fairly small. Two bedrooms two bathrooms, and a nice kitchen, that was all I needed, and it was all I had.

"You told me your house was small. This is bigger than my old house." Nightwing said.

"Yeah well, compared to your house now, it's trash. Do you want some coffee?"

"Isn't it too late for coffee?" He asked.

"Not in my world, besides, I can just make decaf."

"I'll have decaf then." He said, laying down on my couch. I started making the coffee until I heard Nightwing call out, "Why do you need two bedrooms if it's just you living here?"

"Have you looked at the second room?"

"Well, no. That's an invasion of privacy."

"Just go look in the room and you'll understand."

I heard him get up and go to the room. I finished making the coffee so I went out to the living room and set the mugs down on the coffee table. "You okay Nightwing?"

I didn't hear a response so I went to check on him. He was standing in the doorway. I put my hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong Nightwing?"

"You have a baby." He said in a solemn voice.

"Used to, they took her from me the night I was kidnapped a few years ago. She would've been 5 by now."

He fell to the ground on his knees and started crying. "How are you so okay with that?"

"I'm not, but I don't feel like crying in front of a superhero. Especially one who's had to save me before."

He started to calm down, "What was her name?"

"Aliyanah King."

"Who's her father?"

"We don't mention him."

We walked back to the living room and drank our coffee. "How is this coffee so amazing?"

"What, you doubt my coffee-making skills?"

He shook his head, "No! I didn't mean it like that."

"I'm kidding. I used to own a cafe. But some one raided the place and claimed it as their own the beginning of last year."

"Oh."

"Listen, as much as I would love to talk with a superhero, I need to shower. The tv's in front of you, watch what ever, do whatever."

I went into the shower and changed my bandages, wiping off the blood on my stomach. I began singing in the shower completely unaware there was a superhero listening in on my performance.

(insert song you really like here)

I got out of the shower and heard clapping. "Go Aaliyah!"

I blush, "Why were you listening to me singing?"

"You said I could do whatever, so I decided to listen to you sing."

By this time I had my clothes on. I opened the door and "punched" him. "Ow!"

"You deserved it."

We went back to the living room. We talk for a while before falling asleep.

~Third person pov~

Little did they know the rest of the batfam was watching them. Cooing at how adorable they were sleeping.
