(Armin's P.O.V)
"Don't you dare pass out on me, not again!"
Eren stopped walking and I bent over, my hands on my knees, panting heavily. I was gasping for air, unable to breathe. I felt his hand on my back, rubbing it gently. He was knelt down beside me. "W-We can stop for a while, it's okay, you got this."
He seemed really concerned.
I nodded. "W-Water..." I choked out. He quickly passed me my water bottle and I drank a ton of it, and quickly.
We kept walking after that, and finally found a cozy spot in the woods. "Alright Ar, we can set up camp here." I grabbed my roll mat and sleeping bag and laid them on the ground before grabbing a couple rocks and sticks and putting them in a pile.
"Gimme the lighter." Eren passed the lighter to me and I made a fire. I placed a rack and a saucepan above it and started to heat up our soup.
I glanced over at Eren. He was playing that stupid game where you stab in between your fingers really quickly with a fork and try not to stab your own hand.
"Eren, that's going to end in bloodshed." I warned him.
"Nah." He dismissively mumbled.
"Remember when we were nine? And we played the genius game called 'Let's run along the edge of a brick wall'? You tripped and scraped your knee even though I told you not to do it."
"That was when I was young and stupi-"Eren shook his hand, blowing on it and wincing. "Oww!"
"Eat your soup."
"I'll eat your ass in a minute." He chuckled.I blushed madly and quickly averted my gaze. "Eat your damn soup!"
He did as I told him, slurping it down as usual. His hand had already healed, I started to remember something I'd been told yesterday.
I walked down the halls and into the commander's office, saluting him. "Armin."
"Sir."
"Eren wants to partner with you. He trusts you the most and follows what you say more than anyone else..." I nodded. "Can you be trusted to take care of him? Make sure he doesn't do anything with his Titan powers?"I wanted to say something, about how Eren wasn't a child and was capable of making his own decisions. I couldn't bring myself to talk back to my commander.
"Y-Yes Sir."
"Good, you're dismissed."Eren laid his head in my lap. "I love you, Armin."
I giggled. "You tell me that everyday..."
"You're not gonna say I love you back?"
"Of course, I love you too..."He lifted his all of a sudden and stood up. "Y-You okay-?"
"Behind me. Now."I frowned and stood closely behind him. He brought his hand up to his mouth. "E-Eren, you're not allowed-"
"I won't, but I'm ready. Just incase I have no choice..." He whispered. "...I heard something, an animal."I whimpered and buried my face in his back. Please don't be a bear. I was almost killed by a bear when I was very little, I couldn't bare going through it again.
Lol, BARE going through it. BEAR. HaHA.
"Don't be afraid. No animal stands a chance against a Titan, I'll protect you." His soothing voice calmed me immediately.
And with that, a giant wild boar emerged from the bushes. It wasn't a bear, it was much scarier than a bear.
It had tusks that could impale you, it's hooves could trample you to death. It looked heavier than the both of us combined.
Eren stood his ground, trying to make himself look big and tough. It stared at us. I started to cry silently. "Armin, I won't let anything happen to either of us. You don't have to cry." He shushed me quietly.
The last thing I saw was Eren bite down on his hand, the explosion from him transforming knocked me unconscious after that.
