Jin must have noticed my expression because he rushed over to me.
"Darling, what's wrong? Did something happen?!" He asked in a panicked state.
I slowly handed him the phone and he read what it said.
I can tell rage had built up inside of him.
"Honey, stay here with EunJi. I have... things... to take care of."
He left the room and slammed the door.
...
No one
A few minutes later, there was a knock.
Gianna was very frightened, and the young one had no idea what was going on.
"Open up right now or we'll force ourselves in on behalf of our Mistress Minah!" The guard shouted.
The scared child turned to her mother.
"Mommy, what's happening?" She asked.
"Shhh, be very quiet honey bun." She whispered back.
The guards broke down the door and flooded into the office.
"There you are."
"Please! Leave me and my child alone!" Gianna pleaded with tears in her eyes.
The men forcefully ripped EunJi out of Gianna's grasp.
"NO!" She cried.
"Oh yeah... we were asked to do one more thing..." the guard said and pulled out a gun.
He shot it and killed Gianna.
"That's for taking our Mistress's Oppa away from her. Good day, and have fun burning in hell." The guard chuckled and ran away.
...
Jin returned in a panic to his office to see the door on the floor.
"Oh no..." he whispered.
He ran in and saw Gianna's dead body on the floor.
"No... no... NOOOOO!" He cried and grabbed her.
"I'm sorry for not protecting you and our baby... I'll find her my love... you just wait... she'll be in my arms again soon... I promise!" He cried out to the dead frame of his wife.
The funeral was silent and gloomy.
Jin never ever stopped loving his wife, and tried to find his little girl each and every day.
EunJi was taken to Minah's home, where she was abused and tortured each and every day by her "parents", Minah and her fiancée Jimin.
Each day, EunJi prayed she would find her real parents, who'd love her and care for her the way the ones who raised her hadn't.
And now in the present...
10 years later.
