No one spoke for the rest of the day, keeping to themselves and keeping busy. Andy wanted to say something to any of them about how this is all getting out of hand but he physically couldn't, knowing it would bring on an altercation. He felt so powerless and pathetic. He was more frustrated and angry at himself than ever before, he just felt like no matter what he said it would end up in a screaming match and someone being angry at him.

4pm rolled around and each boy knew they had to say something. Every room in the flat was filled with a cold atmosphere, even though everyone was feeling guilty, upset and to blame. Eventually Rye had enough of looking at Andy's sad face, although it mirrored his own. Rye thought Andy was so strong and mature, he never got involved with their silly fights and he never seemed emotional or upset, more than Rye can say for himself. The younger boy sat up and looked over at his friend, who was scrolling aimlessly through twitter, struggling to find meaning in any of the words.

"Andy?" Rye said, the shakiness in his voice couldn't go unnoticed. Andy lifted his head to look at him, his eyes so full of concern, of worry, and ultimately of fondness. The blonde boy nodded and gave a small smile to let Rye know he was listening, giving his full attention as the vulnerability he had heard in the 2 syllables spoken between them in hours was enough to make him tear up. Rye made him feel so filled up sometimes. He was his best friend after all.

"Do you ever miss when it was just us?" Rye asked unsurely, and quietly incase the boys would hear. They all cared for eachother, but Rye and Andy just that bit more. They'd been through alot together.

Andy thought for a moment before getting up off his bed and sitting down on Mikey's bed next to Rye, who sat up straight so he could look at Andy properly whilst he answered him.

"Sometimes." Andy replied truthfully, "But I wouldn't change any of this as much as it gets hard sometimes"

Rye nodded along, feeling more pathetic every second that passed because he missed who they used to be. Before they had real, dedicated fans, before Jack, before Brooklyn, before Mikey, before they had more than £30 to their name. All the fighting had been wearing Rye down, but he just wasn't able to quite place that that's what it was. He thought he was tired.

Andy suddenly felt very close to Rye in this moment, like he could tell him anything and Rye would help and support and just be who he always was. Rye felt much the same, as if right now Andy was his only friend in the world, and perhaps that was true. However, the silence was deafening and Andy eventually spoke

"Rye, we need to do something I- all of us can't keep acting like this we need to talk it out Harvey can't come back to this and I feel like it'll effect the band the fans will notice and like mate I dread waking up to this everyday, I really can't do it anymore and it's making everyone miserable and my a-" Andy stopped himself before he said too much. He was fine until he looked up at Rye and his eyes were so full of understanding, and Andy had thought he was just being pathetic and childish and stupid and he finally told someone how he felt and it all got a bit much and Andy promptly burst into tears.

Rye looked like a deer caught in the headlights as Andy tried to stifle sobs, this had never happened before and he didn't know what to do. He couldn't just hug him. that'd be weird if there was no one here to see it- suddenly it all made sense. He'd forgot the person he was before cameras took over his life, how 2 years ago he would've- no. He wouldn't have had to do anything because Andy would have came to him long before now.

Rye wrapped his arms around Andy, who had stopped crying but still longed for the comfort. Andy held on like Rye was his lifeline, and in that moment, he truly was. The human contact after so long made Andy cry again, he hadn't had a genuine conversation with anyone in so long, Of course it would be Rye. They sat there for what felt like eternity as Andy just felt like he had someone who he could trust. He had always been there but Andy had been so intent on dealing with things himself that he just looked right though him. He wouldn't tell him everything tonight, but soon. Rye just felt like he was cared for, but he did not cry. Not while Andy had just crumpled right before his eyes, he had to be the strong one for once.

Andy pulled away first, with his puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"We need to talk to them. Right now." Rye expressed, taking a more serious tone as he realised how truly upset poor Andy actually was. Andy just nodded his head and dried his eyes and offered Rye a small smile. Rye returned this with a small chuckle as he stood up and offered a hand to help Andy up. They both exchanged another look as they walked to the Jacklyn room and Andy nervously knocked on the door.

"Come in!" Jacks voice sounded out

They both edged in to the room. Brooklyn was asleep on Jacks bed, with tear trails on his skin. Andy was suddenly not so sure this was a good idea, the thought of another fight made the anxiety rise in his throat. Rye took over, noticing his change in demeanour.

He started "Jack, um, we need to talk, not just us, everyone" Jack looked momentarily annoyed before understanding passed in his eyes as he looked at Andy, who looked more tired and weirdly nervous than he'd ever seen him, and poor Brooklyn who was sniffling in his sleep. Jack nodded and agreed to wake Brooklyn up. He gave them a shy smile as they moved to their next target, Mikey. This one was going to be the hardest to get a bullseye.

Mikey was sitting on the bed, playing candy crush. He had had no one to comfort him, but him being good old Mikey picked himself up and dusted himself off, just like he always did. Mikey just accepted this as normal life now.

"Mikey?" Andy called into the room, the hesitance in his voice broke Rye's heart. When did they become like this? So disconnected, like robots.

"What is it mate?" Mikey called out

Andy and Rye entered the room, Mikey not even bothering to look up from his phone, too engrossed in his game.

"Mikey we need to have a chat, all of us, in the sitting room yeah?"

Mikey rolled his eyes and sighed deeply, and Andy backed into Rye, awaiting the blow. But then Mikey actually looked up. He finally could see. He seen Rye's hands on Andy's back, trying to protect him from,, him? He seen Andy's tired eyes, he seen all the hidden worry and distress and a little bit of that charm. And he understood. Mikey's whole face softened as he got up from Harvey's bed. Andy and Rye looked at eachother uncertainly, and Mikey softly pulled them both into a hug.

They all walked into the sitting room, Jack and a sleepy Brook were already there.

Oh God, Andy thought, where would they even begin....
