The room the four teams had entered into was vast. It was almost as large as the auditorium. Shane heard someone whistle.

"Man, this place is huge. Is this whole thing really a simulation room?" a person asked. Then a loud, robotic voice cut in.

"PREPARING SIMULATION," the voice said. The entire room then went pitch black, before a large grid of lasers shot out across the entirety of the room. Slowly, the simulation built itself from the ground up, and soon the teams found themselves in the middle of a city. After a moment's pause, the room then altered itself to become a frozen moment of what looked like an attack on the city by large robotic machines. Various people were frozen in time along with the robots, and some of the buildings were now in ruins. Shane walked over to one of the crumpled structures and touched a piece of wall that still stood. The wall felt completely solid beneath Shane's hand, and he could even feel a stone-like texture. He pressed the disk on his chest and his suit wrapped itself around him.

"SIMULATION BEGINNING IN THIRTY SECONDS," the voice stated. Shane glanced around before he turned back to his team.

"I think we're supposed to save people from these machine things. Arabella and Katie, I want you two to find and escort any civilians you find to safety. Arabella, you cover searching the buildings, Katie, take the streets. Anthony, you and I will handle containing the bots and keeping the others safe. Everyone got this?" he asked. The team nodded, and Shane walked over to Anthony, grabbed his shoulder and copied his Trait.

"Mind telling me what your Trait does?" Shane asked as the red aura flared to life around his body. He looked around at the various frozen machines as he planned out what to do.

"I can control the density of each part of my body. So, I can go from being extremely light to being extremely heavy," Anthony said. Shane nodded and shut his eyes while he waited for things to begin.

"SIMULATION: BEGIN,"the robotic voice said, and everything sprung to life. Sounds filled the room as the grinding of metal mixed with screams of scared people. Shane quickly channeled the warmth away from his legs and jumped high into the air. Once he had reached his peak height, he channeled the warmth into his right arm, and he fell swiftly towards the ground. He aimed himself and landed right on top of one of the robots with a punch.Gears and screws were sent flying as the robot exploded and was destroyed. Shane turned and again channeled the warmth away from his legs before he ran at another robot. He shifted all of his weight into his fist before he punched at the machine, which exploded outwards. Shane looked around and surveyed the current situation.

Katie was escorting various virtual civilians away from the chaos, and used her shadow control to stop any robots that got too close. Shane couldn't see Arabella, so he assumed that she was in one of the surrounding buildings. Anthony was punching and kicking his way through the metallic enemies like Shane was doing. Shane glanced at the other teams and saw that they were similarly fighting the robots or escorting civilians. Shane heard a grinding sound behind him, so he quickly spun while he channeled the warmth to his leg and kicked a robot down the city street, dragging several robots with it. Shane jumped up again and slid up the wall of a building before he kicked off and flew overhead towards a dense cluster of robots. Shane smashed down onto a robot with a loud crunch and then began to throw his momentum around and tear through the machines around him.

As he broke through the onslaught, Shane heard an explosion followed by a loud yell. Shane looked over and saw that a larger robot had destroyed one of the buildings and sent pieces of the wall flying everywhere. A member of one of the other teams was down on the ground, their leg trapped beneath a piece of the rubble. None of his teammates seemed to have noticed, however, with none of them moving to help. Shane clicked his tongue before he jumped out of the army of machinery and ran over to the downed person who was struggling to get out from under the debris. As Shane reached the boy, he channeled the warmth to his legs and quickly kicked the rock down the street into an oncoming roboy. Shane turned to the downed Entrant and offered his hand.
