Taehyung was in an uncomfortable predicament. The teacher had switched the seating in his last class of the day: History. He now sat in the back, surrounded by a bunch of lowlife dumbasses instead of at the front with people who were obviously slightly less intelligent than him. Taehyung fears the day somebody will beat him at a competition of intelligence, although at the same time, his head is so far up his own butt that he thinks there is no such chance. Typical nerd.
But worst of all, he was sitting next to the intolerable Jeon Jeongguk, whom the whole time he prayed not to be stuck with while the teacher was announcing where to sit.
Deciding to act like a spoiled brat, the silver-haired boy crossed his arms and turned away from the muscular bunny beside him, letting out a hmph! as he did so. He peeked over at said male while he called out his own name during attendance. When their gaze met, Taehyung nearly punched Jeongguk.
Jeongguk gave him a why the hell are you staring at me kind of look, face contorting in the rudest way possible. Taehyung internally gasped at this, wanting to throw the guy off his seat right then and there, but decided not to. I mean, he had to be the best, and in order to do that he couldn't waste his time on idiots.
A few minutes passed, and as Taehyung's pencil neatly moved from left to right on his paper, forming letters that became sentences, a revoltingly hot breath traveled down the side of his neck.
"I guess we have..history together," Jeongguk whispered lowly, winking when the annoyingly fierce boy turned to look at him. He then proceeded to laugh at his own flirtatious look, ignoring the raging glare he was receiving.
"Why are you getting your nasty germs on my neck?!" Taehyung whisper-yelled, the notes he was taking now forgotten about.
"Do you really freak out about everything like this?" Jeongguk replied with a sly smirk playing on his lips.
"No- it's just that I don't want someone as irrelevant as you so close to me!" The older hissed, entire body now turned towards the hot football captain. And with a mumble he added, "And plus, your breath stinks."
A look of hurt crosses Jeongguks features. Does that mean the girl he was making out with fifteen minutes ago thought his breath smelled bad too? What if she told people? Others would think he'd have bad breath and nobody would want to-
Jeongguk quickly turned to ask someone in front of him if his breath smelled bad, pleased to hear that the bratty boy next to him was lying and furious at the same time. He heard the mentioned one snort and nearly turned to push his head against the wall.
At that moment, the teacher, Mrs. S, called for her students attention.
"Have you all heard about 73 questions by Vogue?" She questioned, her young voice booming throughout the room. An uninterested and unamused class answer with the same "yes" in sync, wanting to just be able to go home and relax after a long day of dealing with people they don't like.
"Well, for your next project, you will have to ask your partner fifty questions in one month, including today," Mrs. S said, making Jeongguk's breath hitch, "And you are able to choose partners." Both boys let out a relieved sigh.
"This project is relevant because, by the end of it, you all will have learned something," Her eyes moved across the entire classroom, "and that is the fact that someone's history is important to who they are today. Make your questions count."
"You have two minutes to pick a partner. Timer starts now," Every student shot up, scrambling across the room to reach their friends or desired partner before anyone else. As expected, people crowded around Jeongguk while leaving Taehyung alone.
The boy sulked, feeling his self esteem drop a little bit before deciding that these people were too stupid to realize that Jeongguk would definitely not help them at all. Taehyung decided to work with himself. He can answer his own questions, the same way he laughs at his own joke.
He giggled to himself at that thought, because damn, the silver haired male was definitely the funniest person in this school without a doubt. Too bad none of the others could recognize his amazing sense of humor. It truly was a shame. But again, their levels of intelligence and maturity were probably far too low to understand even the simplest of words that emit from his mouth.
"Kim Taehyung," The teacher called, walking towards him. "You cannot work alone for this project. You must find a partner."
"But no one is willing to work with me!" Taehyung whined, refraining from stomping his foot and throwing a tantrum. He was fine enough being able to do the project on his own. Vogue wishes they could question him, and they probably will once he gets his dream job of becoming a Gucci model.
"Maybe it's because you're annoying as-" Jeongguk piped up, being silenced by the teacher.
"Taehyung, I want you to partner up with Jeongguk."
Two pairs of eyes alarmingly made eye contact, and at the same time at the same high pitch they both yelled with disbelief,
"What?"
